The same meltdown if they keep him and someone else got waived and picked up.
I'm already ok with Gaudette going down and losing Goldy on waivers. - manvanfan
Be nice if the can pick up a coveted 6th round pick for Nikki. |

Green is out of his element, shouldn’t be coaching the Canucks or in the NHL.

Coach doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing he's still worth something. |

The meltdown if Gaudette gets sent down. - VanHockeyGuy
There is no way he should be sent down. He has earned a spot and will provide a decent third line.
Jake won't be waived but very well could be traded once he has value again.
Goldy is waste management .

Less than an hour after Weisbrod says waivers has no role in the Gaudette decision, Green freely admits his waiver exemption comes into play in the decision.

The roster moves will be interesting, almost as much as the drama. |

He should not be going down and if he does it won't be for long.
It is also a poor message from management . Come be the second best forward so we can send you to the minors. |

Gaudette's scoring sustainable in the regular season a ppg? I doubt it. |

Why not give him the chance to see what he can do.

Gaudette will get a chance, sooner rather than later. It's a numbers game and the last thing the Canucks need is to provide fodder for their whiney fanbase and lose a guy on waivers because they kept Gaudette.
What will happen is that they will try and make a move, failing that they will make moves to best protect the assets they want until an injury happens.
Deal with it guys, its a business first. It'll work out in the end...

Geez, where did all that summer optimism go?
The months of September and October is when summertime giddiness is replaced with regular season reality.
Season after season, I love watching the pom poms being quietly placed back into storage until next summer.
Favourite time of year. |

More Green on Gaudette: "He'd get different ice-time than he is in pre-season, and that's part of the decision-making that we'll make in the next few days, what's best for him and what's best for the team. He's had a great camp." (2/5) #Canucks |

I also was at the game, brisebois and Chatfield aren't nhl players clearly.
The player that I most liked tonight was Myers. Impressed with his game. Certainly faster than I expected. Great signing. - SMBDragon
Yes a good pick up. RH shot and can skate/move the puck well. I liked him in WPG but hoping he steps it up a bit here. |

Gaudette will make the club and then go on a 10 game pointless streak.

Maybe Jake is playing to be traded? Or pouting as Green is calling him out every game? Regardless it's a tough go for Jake. Looks disinterested. |

I could see Baertschi and Gaudette being on the 3rd line, but Sutter will be the 3rd wheel.
Beagle will be the 4th line centre. - Reubenkincade
What if Gaudette, Baertschi and Leivo were the “4th line”, and Beagle, Sutter and Schaller/Motte were the “3rd line”? We are all stuck on a narrative of what specific line roles are and who is appropriate for that role, but really it’s about ice time, so if Green is going to match up Beagle/Sutter as a shutdown pair, they’ll draw 3rd line ice time... |

Can you blame him? Why hasnt Green singled out Loui, Schaller, Pearson, Motte, Leivo?? Hell even Bo hasnt looked great. |

And be smart about it don't lump yourself in with the other 'we want the team to lose on purpose' champs...
