that's what I was thinking last night - he came into camp faster and his whole game is translating.

Haven't seen Motte in a few games, wonder if decision has been made to send him to Utica?

I have to say, Sven has looked impressive this camp. He took on the centres position, defensively and moved the puck up ice, on the Zacmac goal.
I was all for getting rid of him, now, I think, he will be a valuable player on this roster.

They were saying last night that he went to some mindfulness mental rehab camp after his concussion issues. Sometimes that kinda poop does wonders for people.

Interesting. Good for Sven and his family. Concussions are nasty thing.

I know this won't go well with most, but Hughes needs to adjust his game. This is nhl, not college.

Yeah, he's gonna need time to figure things out for sure.

He just needs to get some practices in; watch some game tape. It’s all learnable.

Preseason. Biega.

One thing I love about Biega is how he never gets called for cross checks because he's so short

Better learn quickly. Maybe a decent coach could help. Won't find that here in Van.

Walk into the zone, walk through the lanes. Team has no idea how to defend. Defence and forwards look like they are playing different systems.

they give up the blue line so easily, either the system is flawed or the dmen are brain dead, or they just don't care since its the last pre-season game.

When the other team cycles it's as if the D are playing man to man and the forwards are playing zone.

I know it's early and new systems are supposed to be used this season but I'm not seeing much difference

Zone defense really annoys me sometimes, especially when the offensive players are out-numbered in an area of the ice and still somehow control the puck and create a scoring chance due to the passiveness of the defenders.

Happened multiple times last night, including once on the rush on 2-on-3 where the 3 Canucks just glided in the slot area and let the 2 Sens skate the puck in and get off a nice shot without even challenging them.

Blue line, slot, 2nd chances.

You see when players from other teams come in play differently.

When they traded for Pearson, I think it was Green who said " he just knows how to play the right way" or something like that.

Always watching the other team collect loose pucks.
