Was he happy to meet the person that bought his jersey?
- Chris16

Lol

He seems like a nice dude. Reinhart too. Hutton was in a poopty mood, but he still stopped. It was funny that Risto was the first out. Well technically McCabe, but Risto was directly after him

I don’t think we will do that ......

Asplund would be, at the very least, as effective as Mittelblimp at this point.

Ralph and JBotts better have some stones when it comes to the "best 23".

How are we sure of that. I don't know why people believe that 'calling up the kids' is a surefire solution.

It's always nice to think so, I just find it odd that we are all so certain that we can backfill our lineup with all new guys, take out the trash and simply be a better team. Would I like to see it, just to know if we're right or wrong? Absolutely. But these men, all of them, are here to win. They will be fired if they don't. I hardly think that anyone in that front office would purposefully keep a guy down if they were 100% certain that player would consistently make this team better.

Rail on some of the bottom of the lineup, it's justified. But some of those guys truly serve a purpose, even if it's Dzone draws and PK.

I'm so tired of the female doging and moaning. It never (frank)ing ends.

Didn't say he drafted him. Just said he's a draft pick. It was in the context of 'added forwards since Bott's tenure'
- TheSabresTaco

Look at his drafts.. Heavy on the D..

Let's also keep in mind that this team is incredibly light in developed center talent. I wish it was addressed, but there's a lot of factors that go into that. Do you pay up for a short term guy. Do you use premium pieces to try to pry a 2C from someone else? Are all those pieces worth 15-20 individual points per season? 200 more FOW? +2 (if you're lucky) wins per season?

People think it's so (frank)ing easy to just trade Sobotka for RNH. Just do the thing, (frank) the cost, (frank) the plan, (frank) the vision, just make this trade, because we're all single season fantasy owners.

It's just not how it (frank)ing works.

Calling up the kids?

Casey, is what, 21? He IS one of the "kids".

And this kid ain't ready.

It's real (frank)ing easy to send a kid down that isn't ready.

In fact, It's as simple as a, "we don't like your game or your effort. Here's an EZ Pass for the 60 mile trip. We'll see you when you're ready".

Kid needs work. I know it. But see my above post. Fact is, we don't have anyone else, and Botts expects him to step up this year. We don't know if he will or not. He had some nice moments last night.

Was he called up to soon? For sure. But this regime believes he can play, so, let's see if he can play. Because no one here has a (frank)ing choice.

We'll see if he survives the final cut.

I, for one, would love to see the "bold move" of demoting someone who most think is a "lock", but who's clearly lost.

I get your point.

And I agree with it.

Many fans live in the "Xbox world".

It takes two to make a trade.

My point is, it only takes one to send someone to the minors for a wake up call or to work on his game.

Nelson tried all summer but to no avail, no wonder he fell to 8th OA, competent GM’s could smell the lazy on him.

I told Botts to move the nacho bar it overpowers and distracts.

I love bold moves. We have 14 forwards right now. At least one of them is a goner.

Lazar will stay, Girgs or Larson will get sent and people will be like yes that’s bold.

Then Lazar will be exactly what Girgs and Larsson are and nothing will change.

Yeah, I'm not the best at the math, but I count 19. So, yeah, AGAIN, let's see some bold moves.

Victor Olofsson Dylan Cozens Jack Eichel Sam Reinhart Jeff Skinner Marcus Johansson Kyle Okposo Jimmy Vesey Casey Mittelstadt Evan Rodrigues Zemgus Girgensons Vladimir Sobotka Tage Thompson Remi Elie Rasmus Asplund Curtis Lazar Conor Sheary Scott Wilson Johann Larsson

Sending a guy or two down that has been in the league for 6,8 years sends a message.

Except that Lazar earned the damn spot. When is the last time Girgs earned anything?

Lazar outplayed the dynamic duo this preseason. What's the point of having roster competitions if the results are fixed?

I agree with this. Lazar has definitely shown he’s want to be here
