Because it’s what people do now? Get scared about everything, panic, call the cops on black people having picnics in a park.
So much more is going to come out. We’ll learn that she knows Matthews and that banged a some point and she’s jealous etc..
Maybe not, but I think there’s more here. So instead of slagging Matthews, let’s wait until we have all the facts. So far the facts are that someone jiggled a door handle and he walked around with his pants around his ankles drunk. Stupid, but no big deal. He’ll learn from it and move on. - Arctic_AARDVARK
I'm not saying it's a big deal.
I'm saying I understand why she'd feel scared.
Matthews and his buddies acted like douchebags. Wouldn't be the first hockey player to do so.
Just this time, the girl decided to call the cops. Story ends there without anything else afterwards. |

I couldn't say. I've never lived in an appartment building in Arizona.
But from her reaction... I'm gonna guess no? - Scabeh
Ah,,,, Yes she was.
According to the police report, a female security guard at a condo complex in Scottsdale made the complaint after she said Matthews and a group of males tried to open her vehicle as she sat inside doing paperwork at 2 a.m. |

it's an apology, that's what needs to be done.
and that's the point I'm trying to get across!
likely that's all it would take to solve this, a sincere apology and maybe give her a lil swag showing her some love (he is Mr. Arizona) after all! - Lucas.Neilson
Well at the moment he cant say much.
he has criminal charges against him
https://www.forbes.com/si...uct-charges/#57a40a8c62d8
Ultimately, you should expect that Matthews will cut a deal that will include the dismissal of the charge in exchange for Matthews completing a diversion program with a focus educational classes designed to address the problematic behavior. And he's not going to jail.
This of course presumes that the allegations are true. If Matthews believes they are not, expect his lawyer to contest the matter.

Quite victim blaming... her side arm was securely loaded in it's holster just as she was trained in the military where she used to shoot Muzzie's for fun in Iraq and Afghanistan...
Poor, afraid woman at 2am my arse... - SofaKingBored

If she did have a side arm, those guys are lucky she didnt use it. |

I'm not certain what was criminal about it though?
Public desorder?
Or are they considering this as a threat? That sounds like a reach. |

The complainant said she got out her car and confronted Matthews, who she said appeared to be intoxicated. She said Matthews said he thought it would be funny to see how she would respond. |

the article says
Matthews has been charged with disorderly conduct in the state of Arizona. Also referred to as disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct is a crime that casts a wide net as it captures different types of unruly conduct. It could include things like public intoxication, yelling obscenities, loitering and exhibiting reckless behavior in a crowded area. |

So because she's trained to deal with dangerous situations, that excuses their behaviour? |

I just posted the article..
Young childish act for sure. However the female security guard did not help the situation at all, my guess. |

nothing explains their behavior but alcohol and being 21 with your buddy's.
all security guards - esp in ARI would and should be trained for a lot worse than this.
that's all I'm saying |

Yes...her fault.
kidding.
But if she does truly suffer from PTSD...then we have no clue what triggers it or what her state of mind was prior to having guys trying to get into her car (or jiggling the car door handle).
I think the original guy who freaked out about your blog was merely pointing out that you did make light of the situation. Which from what I've read and have heard from women over recent years appears to be what men seem to always do.
Maybe once we hear all the facts people will be more understanding OR maybe her side turns out not to be true or exaggerated. Dunno. For me, right now I cant make light of what she went through or was feeling. Wasnt there.
Time will tell. |

None of us really know what happened. Him and his buddies might of surrounded the car and were terrorizing her or maybe they were walking by the car and flicked the door handle in a split second of lapse judgement and she over reacted. two completely different scenarios that can be described as him trying to enter her car. I bet you posted justice for Jussie two minutes after that story broke too |

I'd open the door. With a smile.
