Tampa and Calgary made good signings....and if any of the Leaf supporters think if Dubas could have had Marner at 3 years for even 8 or 8.5 he wouldn't have jumped all over it....well....you are kidding yourself.

That extra 2 or 3 million at the trade deadline or either of the other 2-3 years is EXTREMELY useful. Especially if the Leafs want to tweak for a Cup run.

The deal is signed, gotta live with it. But marner at 3 x 8 would have helped the Leafs much more, and he still would have been the higher of himself Point and Tkatchuk.

It’s all subjective as to who likes what. I still love watching Taxi, Welcome Back Kotter, Cheers, Friends, Frasier, etc.

He's overpaid by about a mil a season on this deal. No doubt.

If he lights it up over the next couple of years Dubas will look like a genius signing him long term. Say someone like Point scores 90+ each of the next 3 years, what's he asking for per season on his next deal? 12, 13 AAV?

If his play decreases at all then Dubas is going to fry hard on this I think.
