I think we are complaining because tonight's roster means Marincin will be on the active roster on opening night..
Read between the lines... With no Marincin tonight, it means there will be a Marincin on opening night.

I'm assuming that on off-days, they will send down any waiver-exempt guy to the Marlies (paper demotion only).

They are such great, educated fans in Montreal they enjoy the game of hockey on a whole other level regardless of the the skill-level of the participants.

It would suck to be a Habs fan, so they should be okay.

I did some quick Hockeydbing .

Looks like they would have 8 - a few guys have strung together 100 games over 4-5 seasons.

This is franking embarrassing.

The only forward I can see making the team would be Petan.

Defence? Maybe one of these scrubs makes it as #7.

And forget about either goalie making a good impression tonight.

I agree. I think the waiver exempt guys are just Sandin, Liljegren, Kivihalme and Mikheyev - who are on ELC.

On the ELC deal are they paid at the ELC rate or is there a minor league salary attached when they're in the minors?

I think the Goat is (at least) in dark pencil now.

Basically all these guys (shore/agostino/petan/etc ...) are battling for a 12 game look-see.
