Crow is not a complainer coming from the guy who thinks Lehner will play more. The record will dictate as much as injuries. People don't complain when winning, except that catcher the Cubs had in '16 whatever his name was "Miggy?" If they are losing it won't matter. - rpeters01

Tyler,
A feeling of consternation not really. Of betrayal or disappointment perhaps is more telling. The subject is the whipping player for some posters with hard edge anti
Sikura analysis
You Tyler represent a voice of reason and many respect do nit argue point - of - view with you. My purpose here isi the hope that you and i might take the so called middle ground regarding D Sikura future output. He is scorned as a failed prospect by some. What i have witnessed is not a top line point producing forward. Rather i still believe he can generate points with his skill and effort. He can succeed somewhere in the NHL and yes he can score - he will get past that "hump."
You can say that he is not good enough and henceforth failed (permanently to some posters way of thinking) to ever again play for Chicago. On the contrary, i feel it is a long season and he will play for Colliton again. Furthermore he did not loose a job as much as some newbies were deemed more useful or let's see what they can do attitude.
D Sikura battled larger players and he was able to make plays. His skating is fine. He may not become much of a goal scorer at the NHL level but he is not inept as he just needs to get one then he will be ok for chipping in an occasional goal
I am not an expert and i am not going with right or wrong or ask wiz if he agrees with me (wiz is a respected voice on this site)_ It is not a matter of whom is right about Sikura's potential. I am guessing that you will agree that he could still turn out to be a useful NHL player. Just not the top line prospect we though we might get when he signed out of college. He remains a prospect, just not as highly regarded or hoped for when he signed.

If one of them is out with injury I am guessing that Laakinen is the better goaltender than Delia to recall.
My concern about a goaltender injury is just based upon the facts of goaltender interference going back the past many seasons.
Until the league does something concrete and effective to either curb or greatly reduce charging into goaltenders, there is a very real possibility that Crawford could get upended. Possible injury/concussion. Even just a minor run into him is mind games an opponent may strategize.
Crawford is injury prone - wouldn't you agree. - jhawk59
no...anyone gets hit and rolled like he did is going to be injury prone...he has averaged 55-56 starts prior to concussions...thats not injury prone... |

Bray isn't a rookie. He's 27 and in his 6th season - Elbows15
Good morning elbows. Thanks for the info on bray. Happy the bears won last night . Still not overly impressed with Mitch. He made some errors, and his up and down play is really putting a lot of pressure on the defense .

Exactly. Now that he had had concussions + given the frequency of goaltenders getting run into around the league.....
Sure am glad we have two quality netminders. As for getting hit and rolled...maybe you cannot technically say that is an injury prone player whenever this happenstance occurs. But you can say there are a few jerks like Marchand who do greatly despicable things out on the ice. disrespectful. |

I agree...with the way guys are crashing the net and crashing into vulnerable net minders...not sure how to fix that...but its also defenders shoving guys into their netminder...
its similar to the QB "late hit" in foot ball...expecting a defender to stop and turn in mid air..

OKAY - I'm probably making too much out of this, but - that Charlie Roomie-roomie-litus guy tweeted out another 30 second gif of Dach skating on his own this morning similar to the other "Dach skating on his own" gif's he sent out a couple other mornings and it looks like Dach is just taking a slow stroll around the ice. If the little snippets shown in the gif's are all he's doing during his skates - I'd say he's a long way away from practicing with the team, let alone getting into a game. |

I don't think we know much right now about his health. But it is fair to deduce that symptoms haven't worsened since he returned to the ice. If they had, he'd have been shut down again. |

Hah ... no sooner did I post about Dach going half speed - and the next tweet was a gif with, as he put it, Dach zipping it around". I feel better now. |

Today's practice combinations
Nylander-Toews-Caggiula
DeBrincat-Strome-Kane
Saad-Kampf-Kubalik
Wedin-Carpenter-Shaw
Saarela-Smith-Perlini
Keith-Gustafsson
Maatta-Seabrook
de Haan-Murphy
Koekkoek-Boqvist
Gilbert-Dahlstrom
With Saarela, Smith, Perlini, deHaan and Murphy wearing white jerseys which apparently means they are not going to be in the lineup tomorrow. |

They'll keep ramping up the activity as long as he's not experiencing symptoms. Could be practicing soon. |

So much here. Didn’t the Blackhawks draft him in the 6th round? So even Hawk brass only felt he had a marginal chance to even make the NHL. Some could say he’s already over achieved. |
