Jake's game was as a power forward. Now hes playing against guys like getzlav and Thornton. He had to change his game till hes ready for the power role.
Remember the isles gave up on bertuzzi after 4 years. Iron mike traded for him and later that season he made big strides. Next thing hes on the top of the NHL.
Jake just needs time, but hes improving a lot in the meantime

Agreed, I would rather Bobby Ryan over Loui anyday. Neither have earned the salaries they get, but, Ryan is usually a player who puts in a decent effort.
I didn't realize Loui was even playing, until you just mentioned it.
