It would have been fantastic. I admit I was wary of it at the time, simply because he was out of UB, and the hometown thing might cloud everyone's judgment, but he is the real deal x 4.

While I don't agree that those players are even remotely good at this point, I also don't think the NHL is the best place for Cozens yet.

Agreed.
He has the talent to stick, but needs physical development before he can handle the rigors of the NHL for 82 games.
Best bet is go go back to junior's and build muscle, gain some weight for the next 11 months.
I would like to see him for say 5 games 1st though.

That's not necessarily true. He was never relied on to be "the guy" there as they had other even more talented players that won't be back this year. He'll have the opportunity to take that lead role this year.

The kid so far has shown he can play with the big boys. He is far and away better that mitts in development, better then our bottom 6 already. Why dump him so he can get 2 points per game in the WHL and do nothing with it.

What part of Mitts development are you comparing it to? Because when he was in college everyone was screaming for him to be here. So what happened? He left college, signed with the Sabres and his development seems to have taken quite the left turn since then.

Who's to say we don't end up with the same thing happening to Cozens if they bring him in now?

Have him play play his 9 games and then decide. If he looks lost. Send him down.

And mitts development or lack there of has not been good.
