Pekar to an extent. Signed Borgen. Just a few of the top of the head.

True. Good point
Those guys are still a couple years away though
Maybe he’s just trying to get us competitive as quickly as possible,
while realizing it may take some time to truly build the team he envisions on the ice

I think the giants beat the dolphins 9 out of 10 times right now and the bengals beat the steelers 7 out of 10 times

we are 3-0, I see no reason to worry about how we won, we played 2 games on the road and won them both
bad coaching in the 3rd quarter and came back to win at home

if we drop sunday's game by 17 points or more, yeah reason for concern but today, enjoy the moment

- homiedclown

3-0 is great, i am enjoying it
But how we got there is on my mind when I’m comparing the Bills to the best teams in the league

I think we have a good chance to start 5-1
So even if next week is a bust,
games vs Miami & Tennessee could get us feeling good again pretty quickly

I mean, isn't that how bad teams have gotten good in the past? Hard to do a complete 180, even getting young stars. Have to progress little at a time, then take the big jump. I'm looking for this team to be a little more consistent this year, and take a step in the points direction, and build off that for next year to be fighting for playoff spot. That may sound like a terrible idea for some on this board, but it's just how I see the year progressing.

you don't need to worry about the league, just worry about the AFC, which right now the only teams I would say are better than us is new England and KC and maybe the colts.

If the Panthers, Rangers and Devils leap frog us, do we still praise JB's patience?

Panthers and Rangers both finished higher than us, how would they be leap frogging us? Panthers scored 40 more goals than us last season and the Rangers just spent $20m on two players. We should be better than last season and even better next season.

as long as schneider is his old self, the devils have already leapfrogged us... but we have to wait to see the on ice product i guess. part of that is them getting lucky and winning the lottery.

They've made the playoffs in the time we've been rebuilding, so I'd consider that leapfrogging if they turn the corner before us.

Idk, I dont buy that 80-some points is progress. We all thought Disco's 81 point season was progress. Nothing transfers to the next year. Progress is playoffs or getting eliminated in the last regular season weekend in April for me

Start getting prepared to be disappointed. We'll be out of it by early March. Somewhere around 88 points. Miss the playoffs by 10 to 12 points. But i am OK with it because they have 10 UFA's on this roster with all the trash except Okposo being taken to the curb at the end of this season.

Risto not practicing due to "Illness". Might be the same "illness" that Jalen Ramsey has......

Schneider has looked very good in preseason, much better than that last 2 seasons coming off injury. It is preseason but his movement looks much better and faster.

He was in contact with pekka rinnie who went through the same issue throughout the offseason in what to expect after surgery where pekka didn't look so good the season he came back but gained his form after fully healed

The devils also have a backup in blackwood that looks promising

The devils offense with a healthy hall, hischier, Hughes who looks ready and can make an impact, gusev who has impressed should be much improved over the past years where the devils were a one line team

The devils D is where there are questions after subban. Severson and cats are good but an aging Greene isn't the best and butcher puts up points but have to see how his D game has improved

Is 88 points out of it in early March? Thats probably 3.5 wins out of the playoffs. That wouldn't be terrible. I'm just saying if we have an 81 or 82 point season, it'll be pretty clear in early November that they've dug a hole and they're probably not getting out. That would be sucky

With Brayden Point signed for 3 years x $6.75M, we now show the Tampa Bay #Lightning with $1.7M in cap space based on a roster of 23

Don't discuss.

Realistically speaking, this could would work

Skinner-Eichel-Vesey
Olofsson/Johansson/Skunk
Cozens, Sheary/Mitts/Thompson
Lazar, Asplund, ERod

If Cozens makes the team, Sheary goes to 4th and ERod goes to Rochester.
Lots of speed, takes some pressure off of Mitts.
Girgs and Larsson to Rochester. Sobotka and Okposo buyout or go away.

It would be nice if -

-A top pairing D man only wanted to play here because his wife was a doctor
- We won a top pick in the draft lottery after not being a bottom 5 team
- a superstar UFA chose to sign here

The Rangers get benefits the Sabres never will get
