But yes, the answer is Miles Wood. I didn't watch Coleman play, but I doubt it's him. The only other players it could be ... idk.. Mueller is obvious but he's not really penciled in. Severson?? Carrick? idk who. gotta be Wood. He crashed into the net though.. so he's showing his true abilities of flying down the ice and achieving nothing but a turnover.

I don't think Carrick because it sounded like hynes was saying those who thought they made the team already and Carrick was already on the bubble. But I do think it is a defender just not sure who...... hynes LOVES subban, cats has played well from what I have seen but haven't been able to watch too much being in England. Severson? I have a feeling that unless Smith shows improvement or gets his confidence up he may not make the team as people have said that he has played well but not great and if he doesn't make the team I wonder if Shero will make a move for a Dman, not a major move but something than can help shore the D up.

I thought Severson had looked shaky and I love him but I dont know if Hynes would be calling out Wood he was flying out there and had a break away chance and he backs defenders off well. I could be wrong though lol.

I’m not sure this is really a targeted comment but Haynes giving notice that everyone needs to put in the effort. I can’t see taking a veteran player who’s contributed over the course of a season or two and tossing them out based on two games of preseason.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't play Lundqvist at MSG but whatever. Our D after that first pair is a complete unknown. I mean I know the players but I can't even guess how they're going to perform.

Hall with Hughes should be pretty interesting. Not as a dis to Palmieri but I think his game is very consistent.

but why play them with Zajac when you could play them with Hughes?? Well there's Gusev too. Gusev-Hughes-... Bratt?
I guess Zajac's defensive awareness could help Boqvist/Bratt. We can't forget about Zacha either. .. tho he's easy to forget with Gusev, Hughes, Subban, Boqvist, Bratt looking so good.. even McLeod not looking like a boy among men. Coleman-Zajac-Simmonds could be a good shutdown line but we'll see.

I think it's absolutely stupid as hell to even MENTION Corsi stats of a pre-season game. Absolutely 100%
