From what you've said, I'm not even sure you were alive - but nearly 30 years ago when a bunch of us were just moving out into the daunting world for the first time, a friend of mine survived on Harvey's .99 cent burger and their "anyway you like it" approach.

He'd order the burger, and then with lettuce and tomatoes and peppers he'd just keep saying, "more, more, more" until he was happy that he could make a big salad out of it. He did this at least twice every day for like 3 or 4 months at the Harvey's on Queen St. in Toronto. I honestly can't recall anymore, but a part of me thinks he got Italian or ranch dressing with it somehow, too.

My buddy lived at York U and lived off the KFC Big Crunch Sandwich. To attempt to offset this, he chugged V8 juice constantly. The high doses of carotene caused his skin to take on an orange hue.

I ate one once. It was great going in.

Just wish they didn't use mayo as a default on their burgers. Always have to ask to not have it. It is pretty (frank)ing beautiful that you can get a Papa Burger at 7am

My very good friend here in town owns a few A&W's. I teased him for years over his crappy fries. But, now they have much better fries.. I get the Mayo on the burgers removed as well.
