I think our bottom 6 will have the puck a fair amount; I don't think they'll get snowed under at all.
Yeah, on the road they'll face unfavourable matchups, but welcome to the jungle: every team tries to sneak their best lines out against the bottom lines/pairings when they're at home. - gravyface
Hard to get caught often if you're rolling short shifts, fast changes with three quick skilled lines. Two of those lines with star two-way centers. |

Before I used to wonder how things would play out, but then I found this HB crystal ball and now I'm independently wealthy from the proceeds of sports wagering. |

Kerfoot is a defensive stud? Bracco could theoretically play 3RW in the future no issue. There's no rush or reason to give up on a skilled ppg AHL prospect. - Blazed
He's suppose to be. Those 3rd and 4th lines should just worry about not giving up goals and killing penalties.
Bracco can't play AHL level defense, much less NHL level. He'd get exposed in short order. |

I doubt it.
You're right, every team tries to play to their strengths and expose the Leafs weaknesses. That's why I'm saying the bottom six shouldn't have one-way offensive players with the hope that they're going to outscore the opposition.
The top-six should score the majority of goals and points. The bottom six should be killing the clock, killing penalties, playing physical, create energy and limiting their mistakes. Bracco doesn't do any of those things. |

Oh, this is about Bracco in the bottom 6? I don't see him really as a fit down there, particularly with who's above him in the depth chart (Kapanen).
He could be Ennis 2.0 on the 4th line if we roll out that kind of a look, but I think this year they want to solidify the role players, so I don't really see him as a fit down there. |

No (frank)ing way is Marner ahead of Tavares, not in 2019-20 at least. |

I was mostly talking about Bracco, yes.
But in general also, even the Leafs top lines, don't spend a lot of time in the Ozone, cycling the puck. I think the bottom six should be bigger, stronger and harder to play again. |

I think you're right but it's close and easily debatable. |
