I'd do Suzuki and a 1st, but the actual asking price is probably not as enticing lol

A less mentally handicapped, less stalky, yet somehow still as annoying version yes.

Laine would be the guy in Montreal. I don't think he can be the guy anywhere. He can be a piece somewhere, but that's it.

Suzuki looks like a good kid. Keep him.

Laine would be kept in line by the Finn connection in Mtl

Look what happened with Drouin. It takes more than skills.

Drouin's not a Finn lol.. But I agree with you, they're finally getting the right #attitude around the team, so might as well keep it that way.

As for Drouin, I'd still give him the year to see what he's got

this is insane. Laine has scored 110 goals in 230 games. Suzuki has never played an NHL game.

Suzuki wouldn't be the main component in that trade anyways... But if he was, MB should jump on that for sure

Before playing in the NHL, Crosby had 0 experience in the NHL. It's not an argument.

You build by keeping your picks and prospects. Toronto tried to trade them for years and see what happened. Kessel was a good player but it was not a good trade for them.

So in a very imaginary 1 for 1 trade, you wouldn't do Suzuki for Laine?

Sidney Crosby was a first overall pick who was the most hyped prospect of his generation. Suzuki is a 20-year-old who was selected 13th overall. and i don't see the point about the Kessel trade. trading picks is much different than trading prospects.

i agree that you win by keeping your picks and prospects but in this case you're comparing a 20 year old unknown with a 21-year-old who scores at a 35/40 goal pace.

I don't think it would make the team better long term. I don't want Laine on this team with what we are all hearing and seeing from him.

I could be wrong but I think Suzuki will be a pretty good player in this league.

Laine's attitude may suck, but the numbers don't lie... I do hope you're right about Suzuki though

Really?

And Laine seems to be Pacioretty 2.0. Just that Laine can't play defensively and I don't think Pacioretty has made comments like Laine just did.

82G 30 G 20A 50 pts -24 (with the Jets)

His numbers last season. I don't think he would play with better players in here.

Anyway, this trade won't happen so it's a waste of time.

You don't think Domi, Kotkaniemi or Drouin can be better than Brian Little or Nik Ehlers?
