With all the vets signed this summer, depending on who makes the Flyers, Phantoms could run into the AHL vet max rule, wherein they will always have to scratch a vet or two. Never a good situation even when it is rotated in the interest of fairness.

Yeah that is a bad situation when rotating out vets. I have a few buddies who played ahl/echl who were part of this and it split the dressing room and animosity towards the coaches.

Bigras was not on my depth defenseman radar at all until tonight. He was a good pick up. Sushko did really well in the back to back and looked as good as last night. I still like Bunnaman.

Phantoms will be so fun to watch this season. I imagine cuts are coming.

i'll give Stewart credit, he came out strong in this game and was definitely more noticeable, but faded as the game went on. personally, i still just dont see enough there to warrant a contract.

I like Ruby’s skillset too. Maybe it’s just me, but I do think he gets knocked around a lot. He seems maybe to need more strength for the style he plays. I don’t know...no one else seems to think that. FWIW

i want to see Ruby with some good linemates but yeah he has taken a bit of a beating so far. as he continues to get stronger i think he can be a really important player for us.

Another side note, I’m liking NAK over Andreoff based on tonight’s showing.
