His OT and some of his later game opportunities soured me tonight.

I'm partially busting your balls though, but I still don't think he did what he's capable of doing.

I'd rather see the sabres try an up-tempo transition offense than suffocate like they have the past 4 years. Housley said he wanted to do it, but never did. Disco was unapologetically conservative.

Give me the best 5-on-5 forwards the organization has to offer and let's see them play a modern game with pace. Or we can spend another goal-starved year playing losing retreads who offer a safer path toward failure

7.5M base year 3. But why would a team want a massive QO?
- TheSabresTaco

They don't have to offer them a QO, and anyway the player will make more than that on a presumably long term deal.

So, Buffalo should be getting one of these guys in the top 10, eh?

Does he have some gold and blue pads to go with it? That’s a nice looking helmet

Great, another diminutive goal scorer named Cole listed as a top prospect.

From what little I heard of the game, it seemed like Eichel and Vesey were playing well with one another. Sheary seemed to be an afterthought on the line?

The PP with Eichel - Skinner - Vesey - Dahlin - Tage seemed to work out pretty well. I would assume this is basically the unit but switch Sam for Tage.

Scandella has hopefully played himself off the roster while Joker has played himself on. It would be interesting to see if the pairing last night was to ensure that Dahlin and Joker can play together before determining what to do with Risto.

That's my meaningless $0.02

I honestly thought Sheary was better than Vesey.
Tage is still puck dumb. He can move it well on his stick but he makes such weird decisions sometimes. I think Ralph is trying to make him a net front guy, but that's definitely under construction.
Scandella is still trash.
Johansson is ECHL.

If Sheary can get some chemistry, like I thought he would when he was brought in, with Jack I think he will be a decent player. Especially if he can play the off wing with Skinner on the left.

From what I heard, Rob Ray thought that Tage is being pushed into a net front role because he's a big dude, but has decent hands to make plays in a small area. He just needs to get the smarts, or the ability to react quicker.

Thankfully it wasn't Hutton that gave up three. Granted he faced 3 shots or something stupid.

Yeah you're right with Tage. He can handle the puck well, his decision making is just so (frank)ing awkward, bud.

He actually has smooth hands around the net. He has a nice shot too, the problem is him actually getting there.

I wish he wasn't so (frank)ing awkward, bud.

He needs to take like 15-20% off

He can come to Buffalo and play with lesser line mates.

We are chock full of lesser players.

I'd like it a lot. that would be some absolute depth scoring.
