Sorry fitz.

The moves make complete sense and fit together perfectly. The GM is beyond questioning.

For the record, I am excited for the season and they might even be good. I think some things could have been done differently. I dont think that makes me a downer

Take a look back
You’re on here EVERY DAY THIS SUMMER,

Daniel Jones named the Giants starter in week 3

Did the Bills end Eli's career?

Still like the trade, but I'll keep sayin it. Don't be surprised if there is heat for this one halfway through the year, when Nylander has 12 goals or something, and Joker is in Rochester still.

It's going to be a while before this trade looks good.

- matty12345

Really, who cares? I know Botterill doesn't. If the end result is either a great trade for both, or a success for the Sabres only, that's all that matters.

Let the sheep whine about it.

Lol... let me know when u start talking positive on here
You haven’t all summer, and u know it

- I am more optimistic about the goalies than 90% of the board

- I think Mojo was a great pickup

- the nylander trade was great

- I have repeatedly said that if Mitts is a 50-55 point player, the Sabres are probably a playoff team

My complaint is and was the overinvestment in 2 positions while the RW position is cobbled together with guys playing out of their natural positions, and that extends to the defense as well.

I can be optimistic while questioning some of the decision making. I'm not going to blindly give an A+ to everything Botterill did/does

Against a weak PIT team, Tage Thompson looked like a different player last night.

How do the Sabres afford him? What do you give up in order to put him on this roster?

Real question.

No one else is either
And it’s evidenced by your wild exaggerations

Also,
while u may have said those positive things...
They’re few & far between the constant complaining you’ve done EVERY DAY
Seriously, look back on your posts dude
It’s been pretty harsh

That's a completely ridiculous comparison.

Also, you live in Buffalo. If you happen to come across a great deal on a winter coat, probably not a bad idea to jump on it. But I'm a woman, so maybe I just see that type of thing differently.

Father Time and a terrible job by their GM over the last few years is what really ended his career

But we may have been the last game he starts
I doubt he’ll sign somewhere to be a backup
And i don’t see anyone letting him be their starter anymore

HOF career for him though

- jdfitz77

I had a long conversation with someone from work about this yesterday

I think he gets in but he shouldn't be a first ballot

Was the plan really to spend a 1st to acquire a RHD to play him on the left side? Makes no sense. I think Botterill thought Risto would be gone by now. Very sure Risto really thought he would be gone by now
- jcragcrumple

botts said many times the 6 best d men will play

kruger and him are on the same page

if anyone can prove scandella or bogo is better then risto, I am all ears

I NEVER buy anything at it's normal price (when it comes to clothes/shoes anyway). I may be a woman, but I'm also not about to go out and spend $100+ on a pair of jeans. $25 is about my limit. Under $20 is even better.

Ok, but if I'm going bathing suit shopping for a vacation to Jamaica, I'm not buying a down parka just because it's available and on sale. There's no use for it

I think we beat 2 VERY BAD teams,
and it’s not like we won the games 40-10

Things are gonna look different when we start playing good teams

First half of the season should be fun at least
Then we’ll see if we’ve grown enough to start beating the good teams we play in the 2nd half

Sure is fun so far though

- jdfitz77

baltimore beat miami and the cardinals
new england beat miami and a crappy steelers team

bottom line, 2 road wins in 2 weeks which was as many as we got last year

3 more wins vs the jets and miami

a win vs the steelers, broncos and bengals

a win vs the redskins and eagles

that's 10 wins

the other 6 games are new england twice, baltimore, tennessee, dallas, cleveland

if we go 2 and 4 and drop a game I have as a win, that's 11-5

I'll respectfully disagree. I just dont think the D group makes sense without a trade. Whether that's in a day, week, month or year
- jcragcrumple

That's a different conversation, and an opinion you're certainly entitled to. I don't think it's necessary, personally. But it's not out of bounds.
