"So far" "too early to panic". Get a grip

You didn't even give him a freaking period. Own the overreaction dude. This kid is a stud in the making.

There was no overreaction. I made an observation that was factual and then said that it wasn't anything to be worried about. I don't know where you guys are getting this idea that I gave up on him.

Your perception of a person's actions does not qualify as a fact. Facts are indisputable. Water is made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and a single oxygen atom. That is a fact.

It is a fact that he turned over the puck several times.

Yup he was sloppy that first period and then turned into the Jack Hughes we expect. I don't think anyone overreacted.

I freaked out and burned all my season tickets. Slight overreaction I admit.

I’ll just watch at home.

Like Hughes, I think he got better as the game went on and had two helpers. For what it's worth, Subban post game raved about him.

He's also figuring out what can be done at the top level. Few giveaways here and there. Even Subban had one ugly one. Not bad at all though and if a night of acclimation looks like 2 assists, we're in for a treat.

I also wonder if the new guys (particularly an 18 year old kid like Hughes) are a bit nervous.

PK, obviously isn't.

I think PK will really help with the forechecking presence for the Devils. I forgot what it was like to have someone on the back-end who could carry the puck around like a forward. Its been since we had Zidlicky forever ago that we had someone that could do that, and John Moore (but only in OT situations). But they were not as good as Subban.

Yeah Subban was pretty slick with the puck. That one turnover though at the blue line was super ugly.

oh man, Subban is in another class than Zidlicky. I get what you're saying, but you can see the strength and skill of Subban. Zidlicky wasn't as strong as PK.

but I know that means nothing in terms of how you get through traffic, bounce off bodies vs through them, keep people from knocking you over during puck battles, ya know, stuff that doesn't ever happen in hockey.

PK looked great.
