Someone posted earlier that the Hawks don't give updates on players in the concussion protocol.

True. I believe that approach is league wide.

NHL Network is showing a replay of the game. It's already 3-3 toward the end of the second period.

Just out of curiosity . Do you or anyone here know if it's just become more of a standard practice with the league implementing the concussion protocol because of all the past injuries and lawsuits ? That we see players being put into protocol but no timetable or added info being released due to player safety and the league doing a cya?

Ok appreciate the information. I guess it would be safe to assume that , just because a player is in protocol it's merely precautionary and doesn't necessarily mean the player himself is suffering any long term effects?

Ha. Ha.

No, I know how the game went, but I didn't get to see much of it. Where I live, I have to have satellite internet, and my wifi is super slow, so I couldn't watch the stream.

Same hahaha!! I think he could be paired with Keith, so hopefully he keeps up this steady play.

How have you been, Gabe?

Bread, had a great summer! You? Man, looking forward to an entertaining season. If Magic Gus ends up playing D at a respectable level, what an asset he would be for this club. Yeah, Keith and Gus could get it done. Remains to be seen, but off to a good start.

Excuse me? Every time I post something you always come back with a snide and insulting comment. Your always starting arguments. Just like yesterday your first comment was directed in a negative way. How about you grow up for once.

Good to hear! Mine was good as well. It wasn't the ending I wanted to last night's game, but there were a lot of bright spots. I hope that the bright spots continue to play at a consistent level. Hockey is back & that is beautiful to say!

Seems to me it says something if a player is still in the protocol a week after the trauma occurred.

It could just mean that they're being extra cautious with him. I know this would be an important time for him to be on the ice if they plan on him being around for 82 games, but it is just the preseason.
Plus, if he played last night they would have had to protect him from Wilson!

Perlini was useless tonight.

The guy I really liked tonight was Highmore. Don't care if he did not produce any points because his play was solid. Looks a lot like Bolland the way he plays.

Agreed......... kind of reminds me of Kahun, quick, smart, and efficient.

I get your point. However though because the team has been tight lipped about his condition , could the same argument be made that once in protocol their isn't no real timetable or maybe their is a minimum timetable these players need to be placed in protocol for ? Therefore the teams because of the rules for protocol have to wait a certain period before they can truly comment or update the players status?

Just curious on your take on that side of the equation

@TylerTyping

Looks like #Blackhawks are playing a few guys in back-to-back games... Perlini, Wedin, Nilsson, Dahlstrom, Koekkoek, Beaudin.

Take that for what it's worth.
