Season opens in 16 days, for Dach to have a serious chance at making this team, I would say he needs to be cleared within the next 3-5 days. I do not want to hurry the process with him because concussions are very scary, but I do think his time is running short if he hopes to play in the NHL this season. - ChicagoHope
his 9 games can be anytime during the season correct? |

Can we complain that you think Perlini belongs anywhere in the top 9? - PatShart
I’d rather complain about Toews not being in the top 6. Ridiculousness. |

You can number the lines any way you want. I think these could be 3 potent lines and a match-up nightmare for most teams.

Saad-Shaw-Kane
ADB-Strome-Perlini
Nylander-Toews-Kubalik
3 of the remainder
Then everyone can complain that our 6th/7th defeseman and third line center make $17.4 mil. combined. - LAHawk
1A. Saad-Toews-Shaw
1B. Nylander-Dach-Kane
1C. ADB-Strome-Kubalik
4. 3 of the remainder
There - nobody is designated as the 3rd line. |

Good question. If you keep him around until he is healthy, does he count on your 23 man roster? We would only have 22 healthy bodies then. For a precautionary injury, this is really starting to scare me. No real mention of him on the broadcast either night, tells me this is not good. If he was progressing, I feel like something would have been said by now.
Also, Kurashev practiced the one day and has seen no time in any games either, doesn't seem precautionary either. Not good, 2 best forward prospects unable to do much of anything!! |

A lot of teams keep a 22 man roster with one forward and one Dman to spare. Rockford is only 90 miles away (and 75 miles to O'Hare).
One good thing about Dach healing slowly. Let's say he is not ready to practice for another week or more. When he is ready to practice/play he can practice with and against true NHL players (and not junior or AHL fodder). So there would not be a question about the level of players he is playing against. He could stay in the states when the team goes to Europe and workout. Then practice with the team after they get back. Then play 9 games. Then you assess where he is at. |

This next game is huge. Can't afford to go 0-3 to start the year. |

Obvs I don't give a poop about the results. What I find a bit worrisome to this point is the opponents seemed to have more cohesion no matter who was playing. I noticed it some at the Traverse tourney, too.
I am hoping to see better structure going forward. |

Great observation, Elbows. Must not always be easy to construct game plans with a host of variables that are unknown. But then, why is the opposition able to do it so readily? Know it's ridiculously early, but I'm spotting the same trend. Game three should provide further insight. Figure the Hawks to beat down the Wings tonite at the U.C.

Can’t remember the last time I saw a Blackhawk Dman put a guy on his butt when he was standing in front of the net. |

Boqvist left a guy wide open in front of Corey fortunately no pass, but he's really quick in tight spaces |

Probably because usually its interference to knock a guy down in front of the net without the puck too |

I understand the concern. I'm only gonna worry about how the NHL guys do when the show starts. |
