I honestly don't know that being a lefty or right makes much of a difference in killing the PK. Yeah, you may have to backhand it out instead of being able to scoop it, but I don't know that it makes a huge difference.

Side note, I thought Simon had a very good 2nd period as time went on.

Dumoulin and Letang are the 1st pair and they're great.

After them, if you play Ruhwedel, it's Shultz, Pettersson, Ruhwedel, and JJ Riikola. Who's your second pair? Who's the next guy in when a defenseman takes a penalty?

For me, Ruhwedel's inability to play there (and he makes JJ look like a stud on the PK, which he's not) is the difference between him being a 6th and 7th defenseman.

Cool. Doesn't change my opinion. I never found practice in any sport I played to be better than actual in game reps for getting better or back in game shape and mind.

3 games also doesn't give much time to coaching staff to make roster decisions , especially when they have to trim camp down to 23.
