Werenski and McAvoy (~3 x 5) went for flexibility.

Subban did the same a few years ago and elevated his AAV to 9 milly. I'm sure McAvoy and Werenski are planning to be worth at least that in 3 years.

The only one I know of was from the blue jackets and it wasn't a formal offer. It was a discussion. They said, if you were a player of ours here is what we would pay you.

Apparently, the term was 7 years and the Marner camp said 7 years was a hard no. I think the dollar amount was probably 11+.

Andersen I think is still fairly compensated. He's a starting goalie and good, sometimes great. Has some terrible games.
