I think the on camera and international attention is why the suspension occurred. |

I'd wait and see what wonder boy Dubas does with the $13 million he has to get rid of off the cap before anointing him and the Leafs the greatest cap team of all time, whatever the hell that means. |

We'll have to see what the final makeup of their roster is.

They will play their 13th forward or 7th D who otherwise would be sitting in the press box. Next. |

that will happen at one point in the season. you don['t need to worry about it. they will bring up a Marlie. No stress. |

But they won't have the cap space to do it and when Hyman comes off
LTE they need to free up $2.2+ million. |

nope, but fwds 11-13 and d #6 and #7 have to be on tiny contracts. The cap gets added up game by game, so they save a couple hundred G's while hyman is out.
It's possible that the Leafs only carry 21 players or even 20 instead of the usual 22-23 especially if they and the Marlies are both at home.
It's going to be super tight with no wiggle room at all but they will be able to manage. |

Been there with the Blackhawks, shuttling players in and out, but they weren't in this deep with someone coming off LTE. |

Healthy and with 22 players I have them needing to find 460k of cap space. Hymans injury gets them 192k if he misses exactly the 12 games they reported today. They need to save about 270k shuttling players. It's not ideal, but it's very doable. I'm not concerned about it.
One LT injury to a player with salary solves the entire problem...hopefully it won't be Matthews this year goddamnit! |

Color me naive, but when I watch finely-tuned athletes competing for 80-100 games a season at a physical level most humans can only dream about, I doubt there is a widespread (one word) cocaine culture in the league.... - doublechili
You're naive.

I assume the Lesfs should have no problem beating the record for points in a season since they are the best team ever assembled in the cap era |

None of that is proof of what you're insinuating. There are over 600 NHL players. - MJL
Proof? No, there's no indisputable proof, and the only way to get that is to do blow with all the players, or test every player every couple of days. But there's a mountain of circumstantial and testimonial evidence. The NHL doesn't care, so players will continue doing it. It's not like the NHL's USADA and the players have to give testers their schedule and be able to do a test within an hour of the call 24/7. They weren't even going to suspend Kuznetsov with a picture/video -I can't remember which- of him sitting next to a few lines. They "bought" his story that he got out of that den of filth as quickly as he could. It wasn't until after he tested positive for the IIHF, and even then it took a while.
I also never said that every player does it, that would be stupid. |

Hockey players are a cross section of life. Of course there are some players doing drugs. I'm sure there's a few who have drinking problems. Emotional problems, mental problems, etc.
If there is a mountain of circumstantial and testimonial evidence, why can't you provide it. What you linked previously fell well short of the mark.
