Miller and Horvat are chatting with Travis - I would suspect about face-off deployment. Apparently Miller is good on draws that are on Horvat's off-side and volunteered to take some during the scrimmage yesterday. I didn't notice today.

Lind had a great day yesterday I thought. He was driving the net and taking tons of shots. I really hope he can take the next step this year and have a good one in utica. I still have hope for the kid.

He has a good skill set so he'll look good in drills, it's his speed/strength during competitive games that's the concern.

If he is a pest & menace to play against is more likely he will be a 3/4th liner. As you say improved speed/strength can up his chances. Expecting him to make a move next season at earliest.

It's just difficult to project him as a NHL'er until we see the physical condition.

I know, I watched some of his games. But the NHL and WHL aren't even close. Hell, even the AHL to NHL is a big jump. Reid Boucher is Utica's Brock Boeser but sadly he doesn't have the speed/size combo to become a full time NHL'er.


I'm not writing Lind off, I'm just saying that he has a long way to go.
