Why? I'm still trying to coax the logical part of your debate out of you. Don't give it to Bo because they will trade him if there are cap problems? If that were to happen in a couple of seasons... then EP will be more than ready by then to wear the C. I don't think the C on Bo would be cap related what so ever. My whole point from day 1 of this debate is EP needs more time.

I’ve already said why I prefer Pettersson to Bo. Many times. Maybe we disagree on the timeline... I don’t think EP needs more time.
Gaudette has really shown up to camp eager. I know hes likely to play in utica but he looked better than virtanen all day today. Looked better than sven as well - Codes1087
I like Gaudette's play and you are right its a numbers game. He will be first center call up as Canucks are winger heavy. JV has challenges. Game situations might favor him better. Sven is a smart player with health concerns. Might be better now on the 4th line stealing pucks and sneaking one in instead of target on offensive role.

I don't think there is pressure being the Captain. I think it is an honor. Petey grew up dreaming one day he would be a Canuck. He has been preparing his whole life.
