Given the fact that the "summer of the offer sheet" has been about as active as every season's "very active trade deadline", no. No I don't.

Just my own personal (and wholly unrealistic) opinion here: I'd just throw 5 years @ $10.5M per at Brayden Point. That's almost twice the AAV that TB reportedly offered him. Two 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd would be well worth it.

Move whoever they'd have to move to make the room first and then swing for the fences. He wants to stay in TB but the hope would be that it's just too much money for him to say no to and the chances of TB being able to match that are a fraction of a percent.

I was thinking more along the lines of a trade

Maybe, but unless the price is going to be lower than what an offer sheet would cost...what's the point? It'd make sense if they were interested in Leddy, but I think that'd be about it.

Either one of the WPG guys is probably going to get an absolute minimum of around $6M per and I would guess that it'll likely be more than that. We have a little over $4.6M in cap space so any RFA the Isles trade for/offer sheet will require a good amount of cap space to be cleared in order to accommodate their deal and leave room for what's going to be a tough summer of our own RFA signings next offseason.
