Marner signed ..... 6 years just under 11 a year.

Now can a trade happen and RFAs sign?

Correct. Dreger saying $10.9 for 6 years. Methinks this will open the floodgates to the other RFA's signing and potential trades.

Leafs top 4 now make $40.5 million

4 guys account for virtually 50% of the Cap.
That is a lot of money tied up for sure.
Let's see how it works out.

Wonder about Point. The Bolts can't afford that hit without moving a contract.
I think they have around $9m in space.
Will be interesting to see what happens.

I don't think so. I think that was the old way.
Not sure of the finer details, but I think they can use the LTIR to conform to the Cap limit at the first minute of the regular season.
They should be fine...but tight to the Cap making call-ups for short-term injuries difficult.

Lunian (sp) has a great handle on this stuff.

Mittlestadt is an enigma to me. Only way I can explain him is to say he resembles an elderly infant.

Why do you say that? We have 0 to go off of at this point with him. If he blows the doors off of camp, I can see saying something like that. But honestly, he'd have to go out and reallllllllllllllllllllly impress before I feel like they should even consider not just sending him back.
- HonkFortheGoose

I would say keep him up, play him in a game or two, and watch from the press box for a week or two, get real practices/meetings/workouts in. So he can get a handle on what's expected/needed to play at this level. Then go back to Junior and work on those things as best as he can. Reinhart's final Junior season was not great, but he got better at all the things he needed to and came in and made an immediate impact.

So all Germans are fat and suck at hockey? We are way off topic and I’m not digging the stereotypes.

Cam Newton is such a trash QB. How do you lose to the Bucs
- Fattony1187

To be fair, the Bucs are much better with this new coaching staff. Todd Bowles knows what he is doing on defense. And you can't really blame the game on Cam either. His o-line was invisible and the Bucs stuffed McCaffrey. They have only allowed 1 TD on defense in 8 quarters of play so far. They would have beat SF if not for Winston's blunders.
The Bucs are going to win more games than most people expect, especially once the offense comes around.

The French called Germans "bosches" in WW1, meaning thick head or big head. I guess they agree with you.
