This is where I wish Slim was lurking so he can back me in that we were team RNH. They probably wouldn't take Names back, but Kreider and something small might get it done and you'd still be cap compliant.

I get that it isn't a terrible plan. My concern is that you throw one of these guys into the fire before they are ready (like Howden last year) and you could sort of damage them.

We probably aren't making any trades like that before opening night, so we will just wait and see.

I hope he is. The big advantage of him is that now he has a full season under his belt. Hopefully putting Kreider there gives him a stabilizing presence.

may not cost as much as outlined ,cap comfy ? I R N H but as an option ...

we tend to inflate the rooks & 1st yr vets like they will all turn into gems immediatly
no grow pains like we saw last yr ,no lean times of production.. if we get the 2nd center we can compete & make P O's
line up should be made to help grow & protect not over expose
this lineup shows the hole at #2 ,no one we have is a proven #2
why keep HANK if not going for center to secure ,Zbad is exposed ,if he aint in the
drop off is significant , center is the most important position in hockey ,gotta protect our kids and fill that slot ..2 C

Not inconceivable that one of those three is our future guy. I'd also like to see Strome get a shot to prove his numbers weren't an an aberration.

I think Strome does end up getting a signifcant opportunity to prove himself again because they will be looking for a right handed shooter on the 2nd and 3rd lines

Kreider, Chytil, Kravtsov, Kappo, Andersson, Namestiknov, Howden, Lemieux, Nieves all left handed shots, so the two righties Strome and Fast will get their shot

I always thought that was one of the reasons they forced Fast into too many offensive situations he isn't skilled enough for was that they were desperately looking for a right handed shot

overall, they added major right handed shots over the summer in Panarin and Trouba (and Fox) so it shouldn't nearly be as much of an issue as in the past.

Bruins and RFA McAvoy are reportedly close on a deal. This may have a negative impact on our negotiations with D'Angelo. Lets hope Charlie's number isn't too high....
