Frost. - Landsbergfan
JVR-Frost-Laughton would sure be an interesting 3rd line. Or if Rubstov could play RW another option as well. |

Perhaps you could just get over yourself.
Maybe you should get a life. You are on here all day, every day.
I have an excuse. I'm a 64 year old, disabled firefighter. That played the game for 30 years and I love hockey. I can barely walk and in constant pain 24/ 7.
Yeah, I am paying attention. LINDBLOM did take his spot. Schenn played left wing here almost exclusively, at least when he played successfully.
But you go ahead. Respond on your afternoon break. I'm done with you. You win the internet again. - jaws1955
First of all, Oskar Lindblom did not take Schenn’s place. Oskar Lindblom will likely see very limited to no Power Play time, so right away, you’re wrong. Second, Oskar Lindblom was moved up and down the line up last season as a rookie, including close to two months on the fourth line under Dave Hakstol, where as Schenn was a top six player.
I didn’t say or do anything to you. You started complaining about me, so take your Medicine. While we’re exchanging life stories, which I never asked for your’s, Ive had people Miss pronounce my last name my whole life, even on legal documents. My last name is Drakeward not Drakewood but it happens.
Sounds like you’ve had a tough life after retirement but that doesn’t excuse that you’re picking a fight online and being incredibly petty over nothing. Getting upset that spelt it Ryan Sutter and not Ryan Suter. |

I'm just wondering how Pronger played behind MacInnis his first 2 years since they weren't even in the same division. - jmatchett383
Well it only adds to my point smart guy. |

That what? He didn't play behind anyone of note for 2 of his first 3 years? |

Early within their career and the stats show this. Have you bothered to look? |

I think (and could be wrong) that you were trying to make the point that Provorov has, since a 19-year-old, played the hardest minutes, basically on an island by himself, and put up good numbers in his first 3 seasons as opposed to other Norris-caliber players who either were sheltered behind established All-Stars or did not perform as well over their first 3 seasons..
Is that more or less the point you were trying to make? |

Ivan Provorov will never be Chris Pronger.
Because that's Sam Morin's destiny. |

In short, I’m saying the names that I mentioned all had slow starts to their careers. Nobody said Provorov was on an island but he did instantly improve our defense.
That’s when you a jerk. |

Okay. I'm not going to disagree at all. You said that Pronger played behind MacInnis early in his career. That's true, but only after playing 2 years as the top man (with Zarley Zalapski) on an atrocious Hartford team.
Oh, and I said Provorov was on an island (i.e. most common partner was AMac).
That's all I was trying to say. Calm down dude.
Edit: I'd argue that Shea Weber had a damn good start to his career. |

People are acting like Provorov took some kind of hometown discount. He was awful last year. He's never going to be an offensive dynamo, nor will he be a total lockdown guy. - PLindbergh31
Speaking the truth of what your eyes see after 3 years is major offense on this site |

Didn’t account for games played in his rookie season, so my mistake.
I stand by you and tomahawk were being jerks, when neither of you needed to be one. I’m making a (frank)in argument for Provorov being a damn good defenseman and we’re lucky to have him. |

I was simply asking why you didn't account for Pronger's first 2 seasons. That was all. If that makes me a jerk, so be it. |

Marc eduard Vlasic but better (hopefully) this would be a Provy comparable. |

Who was the stiff coach/GM of those non competitive laughable Whalers teams at the beginning of Pronger's career? |

How long do we really think this TK hold out is going to last? I'm sure the main focus has been getting Provy signed. Now the main focus is TK. Plus with him being signed they can clearly project what the can offer. |

I’d bridge him. 2 or 3 yrs at 4.75m. The truth is that the coach didn’t always trust him. Will the new coaches trust him? I get the question of TOI vs production but TOI is telling and matters as well. |

Like I said, get over yourself.
You didn't use Suter's first name in your post. Just said Sutter.
All I said was none of the 7 or 8 Sutters to play in the league to date never played on the Preds.
I already gave you the internet win for the day.
Take it graciously and move on. |
