I realize it's only been 2 days of training camp but reports and video clips have been sparse. There's been only a handful of 7-second video clips showing a couple tic-tac-toe passing plays and other scrimmage type action and that's like finally getting to the oasis after a long trek through the desert and they hand you a thimble full of water.

Powers and Lazerus - if you're reading this - put a little more effort into quenching our thirst forvideos.

Their scrimmage is on the website.

Can someone explain what they are doing with the penalty shot thing?

Shouldn't we be practicing PK and PP and seeing which players might actually be good at those?

Charlie Roumeliotis
@CRoumeliotis
Kane, Keith, Seabrook, Toews, DeBrincat, Saad, Shaw among #Blackhawks who are done for the day.

Rest of the scrimmage will be played by prospects and depth players. And Dylan Strome.

Sending a message, eh?

Edit - maybe they want him to get some time with a prospect who may become his right or left wing?

So is Dach most likely not going to be ready for the start of the season? Do we have any information on how severe his concussion might be?

Every time I watch an NFL game, I think to myself - “That’s really stupid”.

I enjoy cheering against the Bears. That old woman who owns the team got rid of the Honey Bears. T & A is the only reason to watch the NFL. God bless the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!

Thanks
This may change day to day. But I hope not too much. I would like players especially the younger ones, to play the same wing regularly, and not get shifted from wing to wing to wing, shift to shift, practice to practice, game to game. It might not mean to much to Shaw, Smith or Carpenter. For the time being:
LW of interest Wedin, Soderland, Caggiula, Smith, Perlini, Quenneville
C of interest Shaw, Kampf, Nilsson, Shaw, Carpenter, Highmore, Entwistle
RW Saarela, Kubalik, Sikura, Hagel, Versteeg, Fortin
RD of interest Krys, Gustafsson, Carlsson

It will be interesting to see the lineups in the first 3 games. What forwards and dmen will play which side, and who will center and who will play wings.

Remember when there was the great Kruger vs Shaw debate? and which one should we keep?

Well, Kruger has been run out of the league after disappointing MULTIPLE teams (I don't care how much he "helped" on our PK...) and Shaw has been welcomed back to the Hawks in open arms, with a skillset of a top 6 (2nd line) multidimensional winger than can be feisty and play up and down the line up.

I was personally on the Shaw train back then, and am stoked to see the Mutt back in red, now

No I don't. Was that really a debate on here? Shaw all day but they are different players and Shaw's definitely not a 4th liner.

On a different note, Bears bust their TD cherry for the season. FFS shouldn't be that hard, but Bears will be Bears and all...

I believe i speak in behalf of many fans and especially those who love to follow the progress of the prospects,
when i ask for the Blackhawks to be forthcoming with exactly whether an injured prospect has a concussion (or not). Beaudin Dach Kurashaev .......where are they?

It is gar fetched to prrdict Tuulola becomes sn all star with another team...but it is a surprise not that much less when J Solar, a Cubs cast off, wins the AL HR title and currently is 13 HR ahead of the closest Cub.

Another Cubs cast off, LeMahieu, already has achieved MVP, gold glove and batting title. He is neck and neck behind White Sox T Anderson for batting title. And Abrieu is likely to become the AL RBI winner.

If i were to guess what the Blackhawks possibly could achieve (but not likely) would be either make playoffs or a goaltenders as Vezina Trophy winner. To that end it would be helpful with Dach and Boqvist put in some ( emphasis "some") gp. A stretch here and there where either rookie contributes, may help the team to a few more victories

Keep in mind this post is talking about the unlikrly possibly happening. Far fetched not totally. See aforementioned league leader surprises
CORRECTION Solar with 44 is 8 ahead of Schwarber and 13 ahead of Bryant

How was that a 'greasy goal'? He basically was where a winger should be --- Maata behind the net in the o-zone was interesting ... but the one timer from a pass from behind the net is pretty standard winger stuff.

Great goal though - exactly where you want to be ... goalie has no chance on those...

Soler? HR totals? In part it is because the Royals blow, isn't it? I mean seriously you're also talking about a, now, Designated Hitter .... at least their team winning percentage makes for a good batting average (although George Brett could probably do a better BA than their team winning percentage of an awesome .367 - they got 12 games to see if they can lose 5 for another 100 loss season.

Fun fact, the hockey community in Perth Western Australia is more robust than in Kansas City (at least from a rec player perspective).

NFL using college rules in final minute of games? Denver TD should have been rules incomplete, players left knee went out of bounds before his right foot was in bounds.
