Well the longer he waits, and pro-rated contract becomes an issue the Leafs will have to sit him or be forced to make a trade to fit him in. Which is horrible for the dressing room. So likely we just sit the clown, if it leads to that anyway. Highest point scorer or not, don't matter.

Not sure the exact names of the other players but somebody once showed on here how his agent plays hardball and then caves in somewhere in the middle of camp.

Everybody knows that Oct. 2nd is the real deadline and with no other teams making an offer, a deal is going to get made eventually.

This craziness the last couple days is just drama to pass the time.

The basic storyline is that Marner rejected a contract identical to Taveres. I hope to god that's not actually true. If it is the kid and his handlers may be better off convincing one of the other 30 GM's how unfair it is they won't pay him the same as his now former teammate Auston Matthews.
