I’m an 1.5 hours north of you, lol..

I’ve been there a bajillion times. I live 5kms from Younge St. I basically live in Toronto hahah, especially on long weekends the traffic is basically the same. Hwy was gridlock from Bracebridge south to TO on labour day weekend. So many of you (frank)ers come up here in the summer. I’m just poking fun at you guys because it’s easy and it annoys you.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

And what percentage of your firewood customers are us frankers who come up there in the summer?

Don't bite the hand that feeds you, Aardsie.

Pre 2016 sure... Naz hasn’t played like that in awhile. There was that season where he flopped a lot, then the refs caught on and punished him every shift, lol.. hasn’t been like that since.

Losing Kadri hurt because Leafs have no one with jam now. Maybe if Wilson/Agostino/Marchment play they can play that roll. But for the first time in Leafs history, they have no one who’ll fight. It’s kinda sad.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

I guess?

To me if Kadri is your jam or your guy who will fight, you already have no one who'll fight. I don't view the loss of Kadri as significant in terms of our grit because I never felt that he had that much to begin with. He has good hands. He's not afraid of board play - which was nice - but Kadri seemed to be on the wrong end of every physical confrontation he got involved in - unless he was crosschecking someone to the face when they weren't looking. He was super awesome at that.

Good advice. I'm thinking that I buy low alcohol beer or coors light, store it in the garage fridge (easy to steal) and switch the labels. The placebo effect will let them carry on like they're drunk.

My oldest is 16 and I think he's more inclined to smoke weed. I quietly approve. Just need to keep him away from the vaping and hard stuff.

- The Law

I have two daughters: 14 and 11.

I'm not a weed guy, but I'm seriously wondering if I would prefer them to go down that road instead of alcohol.

It just seems to me, from a female safety perspective, that's the better way.

Torontonians are an offesect of Canadian culture.

All over this country, people are different. Most places Canadians carry a nonchalant persona, but in Toronto you’re not important until Drake texts you. Toronto is desperate for attention from America. It’s clearly a better city than its nearby American counterparts, run down rust belt areas. So it’s always like “look at us - we should have an nfl team - we do well in world ranking polls - there’s so many people and things to do here, we’re basically as cool as NYC”

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Except it's not as cool as New York City.

If Marner gets more money than Matthews, then Dubas should be fired on the spot, even before the press-conference

How would we know it was Dubas’ Fault? Shanny runs the show. It’s more like the Raptors setup than people think.

Anything that starts with 5 years is an issue.

We don't need Willie, Marner and Matthews RFA in the same summer.

4 or 6 years please.

the leafs had
12 fights in 17/18
6 fights in 18/19.

Hyman was the leader last year, the only player with 2. only player with more than 1.

If having a fighter in the lineup is the biggest concern, play Harpur, he had 6 last year..

Personally I don't think having a fighter on the team is the biggest issue. Fixing the PK and giving the best players more minutes is higher up for me.

I walked by the Chik-Fil-A the other day - idiots lined up around the block.

Setting aside my feelings on the owner for a moment...

...who the hell lines up for an hour for a franking fast food chicken sandwich?

Trudeau didn’t even show up to the first debate.

Cons are going to crush him with a huge majority government.

For me it's;

-PK
-Improvement with respect to the teams overall defensive zone play
-rest for Andersen.

I'm not as concerned. Cap space is king and having 29 milly in free space isn't a bad thing ...gives them more flexibility to make choices.

There's pro's and con's either way.

For me it's even more simple ...

- young guys need to take the next step in their development and dominate the (frank) out of the league/bruins.

He’s been terrible. Theo Fleury shared some really pertinent information regarding this on Twitter. Worth a look.
