Jones and Tkachuk the only ones on that list that are worth it. Maybe Ekblad but his concussion issues scare me.

Good news everyone, Marner could sit out until mid Oct and still sign a bridge deal and fit in the Cap

Some good names there.
Unfortunately i can't see Marner signing a contract in Columbus. Seth Jones would be an excellent add.
Jones and Dumba would be where I'd look. Can't see Marner signing with the wild either, but Dumba and Zucker for Marner and Ceci would be good |

Too much detail, especially from a guy "who played real hockey" and would have spent loads of time in change rooms.
This reeks of experience. - As_I_See_It
lmfaooooo 😂
I’ve jacked off in stranger places than a change room 😭
i honestly can’t remember If i ever did it in the locker room 😂 |

Dumba is Phaneuf 2.0 - so no, thanks.
that would be a horrible trade (although I like Zucker).
Only players to consider for Marner:
- McDavid (easy one)
- Barzal
- McKinnon
- Petterson
- McAvoy (+)
- Jones (+)
Apart from McDavid, I'd personally still keep Marner over the other players. |

It was a disappointing season for him, but there's no doubt in my mind he'll be a great player for the Flyers.
That bad season will be a blessing for them for bringing his price down. - Scabeh
well i look at it like 1 good season, and 2 ok seasons.
how come the past season was the down year and the 41 point season wasnt the outlier?
the stats I am looking at and some of the fancy work show he is not a top pairing D at this point. maybe he is down the road..but not based on his first 3 years |

The LTIR aspect of this seems to be a red herring. Basically the LTIR is nothing more than the cap flexibility we accrue through the placement of players on LTIR. It doesn't affect the way the cap hit of Marner's contract is calculated (which I've seen inferred on other posts).
But the article is bang on. If Marner wants that $9m x 3 bridge deal and we have roughly 10.5m available in space, November 7th is the drop-dead date; it doesn't really do us any favours either by inflating the $9m hit to $10.5 in year 1, and dropping it to $8.4 in years 2 & 3.

The way the light hits it, it looks like a c, but its not. Look at his other shoulder as the light comes across you can c the start of the same outline.
I believe you are seeing shoulder pads.
Sorry something this big, they wouldnt just cover it up media day. He simply would not be wearing it. He gets the C during the presentation. - Fakepartofme

With the usual caveat that nothing is done until it's done, it sounds like there's been some progress in contract talks between the #leafs and RFA Mitch Marner.

You should watch more CBJ games
Jenner has the tenacity of Hyman, but plays a more physical game. Perfect 3C or can fill in at LW if needed, for a mere 3.75m |

A 3C is exactly what the leafs should trade Marner for. |
