I'd like to see the details of how Marner's agent gets paid. Does he get his commission in one lump sum each year because Marner gets paid that huge signing bonus each July? If so, there's the primary motivation for something that dumb getting signed.

I think Canucks have more than one leader and I don't have a problem with no captain.

I am not sure how many seen that picture yesterday of Petey at the bag skate . He was miles ahead of everyone. He was leading by example , he always had . First on last off. He is one of the few who will call out the media for being stupid ( next question)

Bo very well could be the biggest leader but don't discard that EP is right there also.

Bo is a talent . I would love him as a third line center. Does he have top 6 talent ? Absolutely. Do you know how good your team would be if he was the third best center? Plan the parade.

I hope in the next two years they hit the talent level that Pearson Bo Jake is our third best line.

Just listened to Pagnotta on Reech Dip or something about how far Boeser and the Canucks are apart.

At the 8 minute mark he talks about how unless theirs a significant change Marner won't be doing more than a 3 year deal and how far apart the sides are.

Also said Keller deal makes it harder for Canucks to sign. I think Canucks were already in the ball park at 6 years 7 AAV

An often injured one dimensional 25 goal scoree is not worth over 7 million per. I do think they sign him cause of the miller trade and the playoff pressure but thats too much cash to pay for a good shot. Trade him for kyle connor and make the same offer

100K used to be the benchmark but with salaries and the cap constantly going up. I did the TB team last season at 100k per point and it was like an astounding 246 million
Obviously there will be ELC and other deals but stars are still getting the bulk.

Problem with Boeser compared to Marner and Aho is health and 2 seasons compared to 3 for them. They both have ppg seasons and he doesn't.
