I was way ahead of the curve on trading Kesler so I'm going full troll and saying BB's got to go. His value will never be hirer because injuries will eventually claim his career. He'll fetch a great return that will benefit team depth in the long run.

I don't know if we are there yet but teams won't take long to go from sign them to trade them. I know Laine trade talks are heating up.

Interesting take like Cam Neely's career was eventualy claimed by injuries. Trading BB now....sure... who needs goals. |

Did you crunch the numbers? Just watched 'The Big Short' again. Love that movie.
I agree with you guys, the situation as it stands now (with LTIR and such) works in JB's favour. Just would like it done by now. Saying that, don't really want to see JB over pay either.
I blame the agents. - bloatedmosquito
Meh. Boeser doesn’t want to miss camp. Jim sucks at UFA contracts but he has done great work with his own players. He is playing hardball as he should |

I don't even think it is hardball at this point. just normal contract bargaining. Camp hasn't even started yet, Brock's Dad situation, etc.
It's all just media hype and us not having actual games to talk about. |

I’m 100% certain a trade is not needed to sign Brock. I’ve run the numbers. Not sure what drama Rick is spewing but I’m certain. They can offer Brock $7MM without making a trade - CanuckDon
Isn't it hilarious? If the Canucks cannot just send 2 or 3 surplus bottom feeders and fit BB in, that means he's asking way too much. JB shouldnt go signing an 8 or 9 million deal anyways... cap space not needed for that crazy talk. Attitude adjustment needed instead.... but I dont buy any of this anyways. The people biting on this are not going to think it through... they never do. |

I always get a kick out of people who make a statement like "you don't understand stats" or some other stupid statement like that.
My hockey friends and I have followed stats before they were even a " thing", doesn't mean I know more or less than someone else.
We had a stat way back when when, that made AHL scrubs, look like superstars, it is all about the information provided into the stat. As my analytical friends say, "we can make anyone look good ...or bad"

Exactly. There's cap space for the money he deserves and nothing more. |

I can’t stand the wait so I’m taking a more interesting approach. You can’t say trading his fat ass ain’t an option because the return would be significant.
Then again, JBs doing the trading so never mind... |

Not sure what OG is, but, any stat that I am unclear on, I usually consult with some old high school friends who do analytics for a living.
Btw, they are also huge hockey fans. |
