Can't wait to have an employee on CNESST because he caught AIDS while on a buisness trip. - Scabeh
I doubt CNESST adopts the same philosophy as the French...I just don't understand how the Paris court actually decided to go in that direction |

For what it's worth, if your boss allows you to work from home and you trip on your kids toys and hurt your back which then prevents you from working.
You're allowed to receive money from the CNESST.
Trust me on this. |

Do you have to cover it up, or just explain the actual incident? |

You don't even have to lie about anything.
The situation I described would be accepted in a second. |

You can't be against the spirit of a law that wants to protect people getting injured at work.
But yeah, sometimes things can go quite far. |

It's a bit silly, considering that a doctor in Ontario automatically took out a CSST form for me when I told him I had tendinitis, and worked in a restaurant... The CSST gave me a cheque, but then they actually called me back saying there was a chance they could take the money back, explaining that a work-related tendinitis is something that is "hard to prove" lol |

That's because you automatically receive the first two weeks of pay when you get injured. And that's before they analyse your claim.
So yes, they might take it back if they end up refusing your claim.
And about things being hard to prove.... if you know what to say..... It's actually pretty easy.
If you need tips, I'm your guy. |

At work, it's the employer's responsibility to give a safe environment, so it makes sense.
Working from home? It's the employee's responsibility to make sure he can accomplish his tasks normally.

Okay, duly noted lol
It was weird because I had no intention of getting covered, it's the doctor that determined it was work-related. The people at CSST were like "when exactly did this happen?" and I'm like "how should I know??"
And only my right wrist hurt, so basically I had to go see my boss and tell him I was on paid leave for 2 weeks because I was beating my meat too much.
