Still wish we had another legit 2C as the trickle down effect makes us deeper. That being said if we still have Risto (I like him personally) our Blueline is vastly improved.

I would love to see more balance up and down the line-up

Skins - Jack - Olofsson
Johanson - Mitts - Reinhart
Vesey - Rodrigues - Sheary
Girgs - Larsson (Asplund) - Okposo

Dahlin - Miller
Scandella - Montour (Scandella can bounce back with contract year/Kruger/Role)
McCabe - Risto

Prime Joki and Pilut/Borgen for bigger roles next year with departures of Bogo and Scandella.

I think Sheary should respond well with contract year. We have one more year to go before this is really GMJBs team. The outgoing contracts and Youth he has brought in to replace them should set us up nicely long term

What's insane is this would be my exact lineup opening night if im Krueger

Great take from writers at Deadspin (this in the context of the Miami Dolphins):

Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end.

Too real. I went to Colorado twice via greyhound. 30+ hours of hell. Also, Sabres obviously

This is really good. I think we gotta try to get Scandella out of there as soon as possbile for Pilut when he's healthy, and I'm hoping Joker gets into the lineup when a Risto trade is announced this week.

That would also presumedly change the top 6, but I'm not sure how.

I took a Greyhound from Buffalo to Dayton, Ohio, on NEW YEARS DAY in 1983. It may be the worst 12 hours of my life.

I tried to stay up all night long and failed. My hangover kicked in somewhere just south of Cleveland. I did not make it to the bathroom when I vomited.

Im surprised they let me stay on the bus.

It's a level of discomfort that is truly not able to be expressed in words.

A few highlights:

A heroin addict nodding into the aisle and getting kicked off

Cops coming on board and asking "whose bag is this?"

A homeless woman wandering from seat to seat during a relatively empty bus when I was FINALLY able to stretch across two seats. She sat across from me and talked in my direction for an hour before getting kicked off in a random town.

A bus driver driving the wrong way up a 1 way street up a hill to avoid a flooded road

I could go on and on. It's the goddamn Oregon trail

WOW

My one and only Greyhound bus experience was when I took a bus from Buffalo to Boston to help my cousin move back home.

Was sitting next to a guy that was playing an imaginary piano the entire ride.

It's why I never complain about air travel. After you've taken a greyhound (or 4), you will never complain about taking a plane. It's (frank)ing glorious by comparison

Back in college, a whole group of us from my school got left in FLA after Spring Break by our charter bus (long story). We all had to take greyhound home. Left FLA early Sunday morning and got home to CT Monday night. We must've stopped 15-20 times at cities big and small up the entire east coast. Bus stations are the absolute worst, I will never forget how dirty I felt when we finally got home.

I agree with this. Tage has shown so far he can't play effective NHL hockey. IMO he gets one more chance, and it would be better to give him that chance later than right now.

Routsolainen is really intriguing to me because he already has played pro hockey. I think he could be a double digit scorer for the team.

Unfortunately Sobodka, Larsson, Okposo, Sheary, and Girgs are basically blocking half the forward spots on the team. I would really understand keeping Larsson to center the fourth line, but I'd feel so much better about this team if Routsoleinen, CJ Smith, Cozens, Oglevie, Asplund, Pekar, and Curtis Lazar were fighting for two spots. Right now the prospect challenge and training camp just feel like going through the motions.

This x1000

They're always in the worst part of town in cities. The poopty little ones in small towns are worse. I swear to god, there was one outside of Greensboro, NC that was shuttered and it just had a lawn chair outside. Fights, transients, stink, arguments, all at 3 am when you are exhausted

Chicago has the only nice greyhound station I've ever seen.

Sorry for the rant I spent my late teens and early 20s traveling by greyhound for vacations. Never again

I am at work / on my cell phone. Other wise I would’ve have.

But definitely an interesting tweet. Hopefully the nhl movement engine gets going. I mean the league as a whole. Not just Risto
