I think you can reverse that opinion too.

The hawk defenders are not backing down, and it is not like they haven't been aggressive. Like I said before, in watching #71 prior to his draft year, there were lots of" down to the ice, like he was shot dead" moments.

Despite the immense chubby Kaapo Kakko has gotten, Dach has had really good dominating moments too.

And I cannot stop heaping praise on Enstwistle, asked to play centre when we know his strength is as a RW....the baby hawks on a PK....he goes in for the face off; it comes out of the circle squirts past the other face off guy, and Enstwistle flies out and gets to the loose puck before the pp point guy or other attackers could react.

I really think he embraces the roles he is asked to play in and wants to be an NHLer....

That Dach charge was a really deceptive run at him; the guy Darian Pilon started taking stride after stride and it looked as though he was going to try and catch the play, but Pilon basically was his 5th stride pump intent to target Dach.

I haven't watched a second of the tourney, I'm going off of everything that is put here & I'm thankful for all of the breakdowns.

I'm not able to watch the game but...

You won't believe this, but Mikael Hakkarainen just went to the locker room. No idea what happened.

#Blackhawks have four guys in there: Dach, Boqvist, Kurashev and Hakkarainen.

What the heck is going on??

First game against the Wild, take out Parise and Suter. Actually, no, they have a better chance to win without those 2 losers in the lineup.

Sounds like it's time to develop a bit of the "...if they bring a knife, we bring a gun..." philosophy.

I haven't see every minute of every game but the guy who stood out the most for me was Kurashev. His puck pursuit and ability to hang on to it and make a play with it is very good. There were some other guys that I thought had some good moments, including Dach and Boqvist, but from the times I was watching I saw #71 all over the ice and seemed to be involved in the play every time he was out there.

That hit on Dach was terrible - take a look at it on CSN

https://www.nbcsports.com...y-finale-its-not-believed

Looks like he was getting lined up from the dot for the "Big Hit"

Was a penalty called on the hit?

Yes boarding.

Game got out of hand but also, Hawks were pulling guys out of precaution.

Sounds like all 4 injured Hawks should be fine. Hawks are optimistic all of them will be able to participate in training camp.

What the heck was going on? I saw a replay of the Dach hit, but none of the others. I get that prospects want to show well, but were the refs saying anything to the coaches?

Good news indeed, just saw that as well. Scary, when arguably your top 3 prospects go down in one game!! Smart to be precautionary, but also scary when you play a tournament like this when prospects potentially can get hurt by players taking needless runs at players.

In reading the box score, I saw that Saskatoon teammate McKay had a fight with who I assume was the brother (Drake Pilon) of the Wild prospect (Darian Pilon) who boarded Dach. This fight took place about 5 minutes later so not immediately when the boarding happened.

Also, Beaudin got 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct at the same time that Wild prospect Damien Giroux got a 5 minute boarding penalty. I didn't watch the game so not sure who Giroux boarded but I assume Beaudin was sticking up for his teammate which is a good thing to see from him.

Kurashev was a standout for sure. The other standouts to me were Hagel and Soderlund, then to a lesser degree Dach, Hakkarainen, Johnson, and Teply.

As far as defenseman, Beaudin and Moberg were the standouts. Krys showed promise.

Real solid in his 2 games.

He should get an opportunity to make Team Canada for the WJHC this year.

Hakkarainen apparently just broke a tooth, so that's not bad.

If Ditka was on a line with Perlini and Dach. What would happen?
- just69sayin

If Ditka & Jordan laced on the skates, the would win every game 25-0 and they wouldn’t even need a goalie, my frent.

That would put a baseball player on the 10 day injured list.
