You're wrong, Breadman! Points are the only thing that matters! (Red font) - tvetter
Hahaha!! Thanks for setting me straight, T. I'll show myself to the penalty box until I learn that lesson. |

The defensemen need to do a better job of relieving pressure from the other team's forecheck by finding their partner on the other side. Too many times do the D-men hold on to the puck for longer than needed and either turn it over, make an ill-advised pass, or send an area pass to nobody in particular.
Beaudin is the best in terms of getting the puck out and up the ice or finding other options to help movement forward. |

Is that because there’s no good options, such as a forwards around to pass to? |

Why is how many goals scored a defining characteristic of a 4th line center? Kampf is a better player than Perlini, in my book. If Perlini can put it all together for a full season, I'll eat my words. I won't hold my breath though. Johnson, I have no clue how he will be, so I'll reserve any judgment on him. - I Am The Breadman
C'mon, grasshopper, you know that the sole determinant of worth of a player is the point total. Damn kids......
Edit, I see you were scolded earlier for this. Forgive the gang scolding. |

It's all good, Mo. I don't put too much stock into what you say anyways. |

If Ditka was on a line with Perlini and Dach. What would happen? |

I'm just happy we've found the new Kruger. A nice 50-50 split of people who like what he does defensively (and on the forecheck) and those who completely discount him.

They'd get annihilated. Ditka can barely walk right now.... |

In game 1, like many others, Beaudin had a really strong game offensively. Fast and clean entries and went in with a purpose (i.e. not just getting in the zone and not knowing how he wanted to attack). He had a number of nice plays breaking up entries as well. - Chunk
Great to hear. Seems like he was drafted in the first round for reasons other than being tall and fast. I.e. smart and has the tools to be out there using his smarts. Have heard a lot of positive reports on him. Not too many negative if any. Put him in the lineup!!! Jk |

Sir! He's Iron Mike. Dach can make up for any shortcomings. Perlini can glide and snipe |

Pretty sure young Ditka would drive the net and be tough to play against - if he were granted the ability to skate. |

I only saw about half the game but the number I kept seeing was #71 - Kurashev. He was flying around making plays. He looked pretty good. A couple other guys caught my eye too but Kurashev was the best. |

Yes, partially. The D-man with the puck holds on longer because he doesn't see any forward mates to pass to. However, what I'm referring to is that oftentimes his D partner is open on the other side. If he realizes he can just reverse the puck to relieve the pressure on his side, then his partner can take control and possibly have better options to clear the zone. |

Kurashev had a strong game. He and Soderlund are both good at carrying the puck in to set up for scoring chances whether waiting for teammates to pass to or driving to the net themselves. That's what I like about them: they don't wait on the perimeter but will just drive up the middle lane if the chance is there. Neither are contact averse. |

There was a hysterical article in the Trib last week about the Superfans from SNL. Anyone with a subscription who likes comedy I recommend trying to read the article...here's the link if it works without a subscription. https://www.chicagotribun...story.html?outputType=amp |
