It’s a good thing Arizona got rid of Josh Rosen

The second one was even more ridiculous, the defender didn't even have to move, it literally fell into his hands after the tip at the line.

The worst two Allen plays were awful throws that didn’t end up picks.

Josh was Josh. Some awful plays (a few bad balls he got lucky on), too much zip on a ball to Beasley that's like a six yard pass and makes an easy pickup a tough catch that turns into pick six. Lots for haters to hang their hat on and call him a bust.

And then, 292 total yards, a 16-0 comeback, a big time rushing TD, a bunch of big time throws to come back, and the deep ball to Brown. Lots for his backers to point to for improvement.

Ultimately, it's going to take a body of games. He is high risk and high reward. By the end of the season we can take an average and see how he shakes out. For today, he was just a bit more good Allen than he was bad Allen.

Other comments:
1. The safety was so not a safety.
2. Bills defense is elite.
3. Singletary looks legit
4. Zay Jones is a waste of my time. Wish we kept Duke Williams.
5. Risto is terrible and needs to be traded.

Thanks. I think the problem is everyone made their mind up about Allen before the draft. Ultimately, a lot of media and fans need him to be bad for the amount of trashing him they did to be correct. The other side feels like he proves them right every time he completes 2/3 passes.

So far, the guy has shown all the athleticism, character, work ethic, and intangibles that made GM's fall in love with him at the draft. He has also shown the innaccuracy issues, lack of ball security, and rawness that made a lot of people think he couldn't do it.

He had a rookie season of both good and bad like every other rookie ever. After that he has played one game with 4 turnovers and won. If the turnovers were unlucky, by the end of the year it will average out. If he really sucks, he won't keep pulling wins out. Give the guy a full sixteen game season, and along the way let's be happy that we are winning while finding out.

In the meantime, damn if the kid isn't likeable. I can't help but pull for him to prove his doubters wrong, even if I am at times one of them.

Kids likeble.

The game for 3 quarters is not. Build on positive. Defense is on point. Play calling needs to be WAY BETTER.

Hey at least we get to watch Brady throw dime after dime. 😫

The whole offense sucked for 3 / 4 of the game. It’s not all on Allen. The jets d line is great and our average o line struggled

Maybe just had those first game high expectations all fans have for there teams...

O line definitely struggled. Expected that with 4/5 new peeps. They will gel in time

Im ready to give Allen at least this season even next ( might need it ) to see if hes it.

Coaching staff shorter leash. Sorry that QB sneak on 3rd and 2 killed me!!

I was very vocal about my disappointment at the time of the draft.
He is as won me over since then, and I too am pulling hard for him to succeed.
He is improving for sure, but he still has quite a way to go ... He is a fighter and a leader...he'll get there ... and we can watch him grow into the position along the way!

The Bills o line should improve. When allen did have time, he did make his progressions. He has shown improvement from last year.

The turnovers today also had some asterisks.

Mitch Morse Fumble - not on allen
Beasley - he needs to catch that. Not on allen

One was a deflection off the D line RIGHT to the jets defender. dumb luck

Allens lost fumble though was not good.

As lucky as you say he was he was also unlucky in the first half

He isn't a polish vet by any stretch of the imagination

But he is improving, he's getting the ball out quicker, he is making better throws and is checking down when needed.

He does need to hit on a deep ball but his OC did him no favors in the first half

I liked what I heard from the prospects challenge this weekend.

I'm glad the Bills rallied after looking like a pile of garbage for most of the game.

All in all, it was a nice time.

Are there things to improve on? Of course.

Will the Bills be good? Who knows.

Am I eagerly waiting to see what happens against the Giants? Yes.

They have some on OL (Morse/ Dawkins)

They have a bunch on D as well

There was a lot to like from what Allen did but there was also a lot that he needs to clean up

It was a gritty win on the road against a pretty solid front 4 of the Jets and it was a divisional game.

Allen needs to show that he can beat up on a bad defense. Hopefully he doesn’t struggle. Dak lit them up and he’s average at best at qb.
