I think he looked calm and cool in the pocket, moved aroud without bailing out to run as his 1st instinct. 65% completion rate, and Beasley alone dropped 3 passes he should have had...that would have gotten him into 70% territory.
He will never be the most accurate passer, so give up on that expectation...embrace 60%+ with some big completions....he clearly did miss some passes and will continue to do so.

I'm ok with his performance today.

Josh was Josh. Some awful plays (a few bad balls he got lucky on), too much zip on a ball to Beasley that's like a six yard pass and makes an easy pickup a tough catch that turns into pick six. Lots for haters to hang their hat on and call him a bust.

And then, 292 total yards, a 16-0 comeback, a big time rushing TD, a bunch of big time throws to come back, and the deep ball to Brown. Lots for his backers to point to for improvement.

Ultimately, it's going to take a body of games. He is high risk and high reward. By the end of the season we can take an average and see how he shakes out. For today, he was just a bit more good Allen than he was bad Allen.

Other comments:
1. The safety was so not a safety.
2. Bills defense is elite.
3. Singletary looks legit
4. Zay Jones is a waste of my time. Wish we kept Duke Williams.
5. Risto is terrible and needs to be traded.

Allen looked good. Glad to see coach make adjustments second half. Lawson had a great game, whole defense did. Nice first game.

He absolutely looked different than last year. He was much more calm in the pocket. Last year 52% completion, today around 65% against a very good d. Sure he made a couple of questionable throws but so did Brett Favre. Hell, I once saw jim jelly throw 4 ints in the first half of a game vs Cincinnati before throwing like 4 tds in the 2nd half while winning the game.

Josh is my QB. He has a short memory and he’s got b@lls, I had no doubt he was winning the game in the end.

He's 6 and 6 in his first 12 games and by all accounts he wasn't supposed to play last season at all at least not that early in the season

He isn't a polish vet by any stretch of the imagination

But he is improving, he's getting the ball out quicker, he is making better throws and is checking down when needed.

He does need to hit on a deep ball but his OC did him no favors in the first half

His throws standing in the pocket under pressure were absolutely accurate and impressive
