lol. Poor Eugenie. Had her moment but couldn’t capitalize. She’s been working the bikini tweets hard to stay relevant. - bloatedmosquito
Poor Eugenie
She is making millions on Instagram and Twitter travelling the world and staying at world class resorts. I wish we could all be that unfortunate. |

Thank you.
That's good because I don't have twitter.

Yeah, she’s a good looking girl. They can make loads of money on twitter and Instagram being objectified. Easy.
Winning a tennis championship (or even coming close for that matter) is much more difficult and takes more than wearing a thong bikini to accomplish. |

Being Canuck fans we know not everyone wins.
She made it to the finals in a Grand Slam event. How many people can say they did that. She already is a winner. |

The Leafs are paying more for Cody Ceci this season than the Hurricanes are paying Jake Gardiner, which I find delightful. |

According to Google, Grand Slam titles are the championships of Australia, France, the United States of America and Wimbledon.
Tens of thousands of people have made a grand slam final event. Half have won and half have lost. To answer your question, lots of people. Genie is not unique. |

lol. I’m just giving you a hard time because your defending a fellow Quebecer.
But I do find it ironic that you dump on the twins as pro athletes but defend a Canadian tennis player who’s accomplished far less in their sport. |

Do I really dump on the Sedins ? I hadn't talked about them for two years. The only reason I did bring them up was because you were whining about draft picks and the Canucks issues. I told you all the way back in 2009 -2014 about building the team around them.
I don't consider myself a Quebecer. |

Sorry, thought you were from Montreal. And yes, you have a strong opinion on the twins. So strong that its left a lasting impression on many.
Two or three weeks ago a bunch of us were talking about asset management or the lack of. You mentioned the fact that the twins were assets that could/should have been moved to better the canucks in the long term. A bit of a "I told you so" comment.
My response was, the twins were so unique that trading them is next to impossible considering what they mean to this city.
You called BS. You said regardless of how unique they are everyone should be tradable. In most circumstances I would agree with you but the twins are different.
We apply the term "unique" in different ways. |

Born in Mtl left when I was 20 .
I understand the loyalty that fans had to the Twins . That is fine . There is an expression you can't have your cake and eat it too.
You chose to keep them and that is fine, but then don't complain after about not having enough draft picks, empty cupboards , lack of prospects, and should have started the rebuild years ago. |

True, but I don't think you need to start at the twins in a teardown/rebuild. Saying that, you don't (frank)ing start rebuilding around them either! And that's what I complained about. Management went in the completely wrong direction.
There were lots of areas that a rebuild could have focused on; goaltending, defence, secondary scoring, new 1st line, all the off ice stuff, etc., etc.
Their salaries weren't killing the cap but their play had diminished. I advocated keeping the twins but finding a lesser role for them on the roster until it was time to hang them up.
In the last 5 years, management has (frank)ed up a lot, one of the biggest (frank) ups was how they handled the obvious decline and eventual retirement of the twins. |

You can not blame the team for their loyalty and then in the next breath tell me they are unique , mean so much to the city and can not be moved.
You can not blame the team unless you blame yourself for the exact same sentiments.
I am not arguing this point it is like I said earlier "You can't have your cake and eat it too" |

I blamed the team for misunderstanding the position they were in. Not their loyalty to the twins. Don't know were you're getting that. |

Miller was solid
Weber scored 11 goals second year
Eriksson came off a 31 goal year. It was an olympic year because broadcasters were drooling during the games about Canuck fans should be excited about the magic that Sedins and Loui showed in the Olympics. Again don't tell me the Sedins are not tradable and then complain when the team tried to build around them (pick a side).
All players in year four are gone and I remember hearing this group here at the signings saying good low cost contracts with short term
I like year 5 signings of Beagle and Roussel who I see you left off the list. I see you left year 6 off too . |

Why do I have to pick a side? Why does it have to be all or nothing? You can be loyal to the twins without making them central to the team going forward.
So what your saying is, if you don't build the team around them, they must be traded. I don't get that.
