Its bad enough giving up a d-man and a good winger, but throwing in a first round pick is just insanity. Especially for no real net gain in goals scored as I would bet Ghost and Konecny together equal or surpass what Laine scores.

Fair enough. I think you're overvaluing our assets a bit and undervaluing Liane a bit tbh tho. Liane has hit 30 goals every year so far, even in a "down" year. If he gets moved don't be surprised when Winnipeg gets a haul for him.

I imagine they would get a good haul. I would want a guarantee he signs first, and know what his cap hit would be.

I just think Ghost, a top 6 wing AND a 1st is way too much.

Don't even need to bring Gardiner into the equation. I'd trade that package straight up for Liane (assuming the 1st is lotto protected).
