last time I promise

I have a few openings in my "hockeybuzz" yahoo fantasy league.

No cash, 20 teams, large rosters, plenty of status, including FW, hits, blocks.

Live snake draft, no keepers. Drafts usually take over 2 hours. It's an experience, lol.

Draft date/time will *likely* be 9/21 at 9:30 or 10pm EST, but this isn't set in stone yet.

Message me if you're interested.

Quick note to fellow remote Devils fans. If you’re getting blocked due to geo restrictions there is a simple fix. There are tons of vpn softwares you can obtain but I got IP Vanish. It’s $10 a month but you can cancel within 7 days. (Sufficiently long enough period to see the remainder of these games, although ill probably keep it through the preseason as I got geo blocked last year in a few different feeds.) No long term contract. You can pay using PayPal or a CC and it will give you a link to download the software. Once you have it, install the software, change your location to NYC, and voila you’re within the “viewing area.”

Works like a charm. Also useful if you want to watch TSN video which is blocked outside of Canada.

Alternatively, the Opera browser has a built in VPN that can be set to the Americas and it works. Just another option

Gardiner is a Cane.

Bargain for a guy who notches 45+ points per 82 games. Sure he had some defensive woes, but his offensive upside was well worth that steal. 4 years is a great term as well. I am jealous we didn't land him.

If everyone is healthy for the season
Hall 90pts hischier 65pts palmieri 55pts
Gusev 55pts Hughes 55pts bratt 60pts
Coleman 40pts zajac 45pts Simmonds 45pts
Wood 20pts zacha 25pts Anderson 20pts

Subban 50pts vatanen 35pts
Severson 35pts butcher 35pts
Green 15pts smith 25pts

The 4th line is unrealistic but basing it on previous years points and if boqvist makes the team I'd say 35pts

Well this Rookie Tournament is looking pretty ugly, but teams losing games that had never practiced together to teams that have is not a real surprise. There probably was some constraint we are unaware of or something and they don't really care too much about this other than an opportunity to evaluate what they have. From a fans perspective it is a little disappointing but (frank) it.

why would it ever matter that they lose the games? just watch and see some of the players do stuff.

It doesn't matter if they win or not, in a rookie tournament, and yes any hockey is a definite plus. We didn't even get to see these game before in the past. Clarke and Sharangovich had some looks. Smith and Boqvist looked good. Nice to see it.

Popugaev is a big boy. He actually had decent hands in small stints. He will never likely amount to anything but a guy with that kind of arm reach, with good coordination could be great on the PK.

I was just saying it would have been more productive for the players if they had practiced for a week or so prior, but that is obvious so I speculated that there must have been a non disclosed reason for why, or they are just totally busy with more urgent things with all the off season changes preparing for camp and they didn't have the free hand to do it with the staff, etc. The entire camp schedule in the past was a hyped as a big media thing and this year they have been slow to release info. Dont care really but it is noticeable.

Not worried

Doesn't have a contract yet so allows him to practice before coming back I believe

Vatanen has a khl contract too I believe

What if Zacha goes out there for a year then comes back a powerhouse? He can flex is offensive game out there and come back with that confidence.

I'll be okay with this. It'll give more time to Anderson, Speers, and those kids.

Still annoying from Zacha. He has been given plenty of opportunity on this team and failed to produce. He is a bottom 6 C with PK responsibilities. Accept it and make 3M per season in the best league, or defect to the sketchy KHL for less money, just to feel like an important top 6 player.

Zacha won't. He can't light up the AHL, he didn't light up the OHL, and he certainly can't light up the NHL. He won't score more than 15 goals as a 1C in that league.

Yes he could. With him I can almost guarantee its a mental thing. He has all the tools to be great. He needs to figure something out. Isnt Hartley the coach? That can help too. He coached HOFers.

I also haven't seen too much, but I didn't get a great impression either.
