I think there’s a middle ground between the run in the mill McDonalds/Burger King/Wendy’s and the elites like Five Guys and Shake Shack that belongs to the Hardee’s/Jack in the Boxes/and In-n-Outs of the world. - Victoro311

Is Z-Burger a specifically DC thing or are they around in other places. I’m a big fan. |

Hardees bakes their own buns, and does a lot of other stuff that other fast food places do not do. They used to fry their own chicken and use their own blend of ground beef as well. They are definitely not in the same tier as wendys/mcdonalds/etc. Maybe not five guys/shake shack tier, but in between.
I am a chef, so I can pick up on nuisances pretty easily. I'll know that your poopty bun is Sysco's frozen brioche. - Blackstrom2

Have you had Smashburger or Freddy’s? Not sure how regional they are. - Rinosaur
I have a smash burger right next to my gym. Average burger. I’d rather drive out of my way to get 5 guys than go to smash burger for the convenience. |

Not saying it's better than five guys. I just think they're solid and above average in quality. |

@Vic
In n Out has been around way longer than Five Guys. When I was a kid, I always heard about this mythical west coast burger that was somehow superior to any other burger. Five Guys was local to northern va before it exploded into the franchise it is now, well after In n Out had its' mythical status. The 5th location was where I grew up. Never been out West, and never had In n Out, but I can tell from the god damn pics that five guys is superior. I'll take a Hardee's burger over it, let alone shake shack. Never heard of Fat Burger, but it's probably better than In n Out. - Blackstrom2

Gotta go with that Zelite Damascus Steel chef knife. Yoshihiro’s are supposed to be pretty good too. There’s a lot of good German brands at a decent price too. |

Either he’s not a fan of coleslaw or fresh cut fries. That’s really the only thing I can think of because Mancinnis bread is awesome and meat is meat which is always awesome. |

Don’t know much about Zelite but I know the quality of a yohishiro is 100% dependent on the blacksmith since Yohishiro is a consortia. My knives are mostly Anryu and I love them.
EDIT: just looked up Zelite and they appear to be the same concept as Dalstrong, so no. You by no means have to go with Zelite. Get Shuns if you want average knives that are over priced because they look cool. |

CTV is reporting that one of the Flames settled a housing bidding war with a rec hockey player via a shooting competition! The rec player won so they’re allowing the NHLer to remain anonymous |

I’ve never seen the Anryu knives before but those things are beautiful. I might have to get me a few of those. |

He’s a really good black smith who’s knives are for some reason priced below their quality level. When I found out about him I couldn’t say no. I have regular sized white #2 gyuto, a small super blue gyuto, and a blue #2 santoku from him. The small gyuto and the santuko are a bit redundant but I fell in love with the look of the gyuto and figured YOLO. And if I alternate between the two it’ll increase the time between whetstone sessions. |

In response to the blog, Pierre is just annoying in broadcasts. He tends to interrupt the flow a lot, always asking Eddy dumb random questions. I think this is a good move for a newer younger viewership.
With that said, I have listened to him on the radio a few times and he is fantastic. Smart, informed, is able to actually articulate his thoughts over a normal period of time as opposed to the short burst they give you on TV. It's night and day. - burgh4life87
Sort of how I feel about Steigy. Couldn't stand him on play by play, felt he was always behind and too biased. But when he's doing interviews he comes across as knowledgeable.
Isn't Pierre just moving to another broadcast team? The B team still dies almost as many games, just doesn't get the best assignments. Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't seem like he's really going away |

Yah, he is with the B team now, so we will get him half as often. It really just removes him from the Primetime games and the Sunday showdowns once football ends.
And that is a good point about Steigy. I hated his play by play, but his radio work and Pens TV work was always good. |

So Hardee's and Jack in the Box are basically solid middle six wings. You know you're not getting the best, but it's better than the trash you usually find on a fourth line. |

Am I missing something? The title of the tweet is "Per impeccable source, Pierre McGuire has been removed from NBC Sports' No. 1 hockey team, to be replaced by Brian Boucher."
That doesn't mean that he won't still be involved in the broadcasts in some way - perhaps in the studio or on the No. 2 team. I am not going to get my hopes up yet. |

(frank) I miss Fatburger. There was one in Cranberry while I was in high school. It was so god damn good. Those chili burgers were amazing. I need a fat burger in my life. - j.boyd919
There’s a fast food joint called cookout that I need to try. |
