I met him in 2009 at the Joe, at a Flyers/Wings game. Great guy! He sat me down and only wanted to know who I was. |

Honestly, I wish the demoted that entire broadcast crew. Even Doc wears on me after listening to him for 30+ years. If only Dave Strader (rip) was still around. Maybe they can back up a dump truck full of money to get Hughson from across the border. |

Wouldn't be a smart trade for the Flyers. |

The foundation of a good team is built down the middle. Wingers round out and enhance the strength but unless either a) you are already stacked at C and D (which the Flyers aren't), b) it's a potential steal in terms of talent differential ala JVR-for-L. Schenn (which this isn't) or c) the trade involves a much older player for an up-and-comer (not applicable in this case, as both are young players), you stay away from a trade like that. |

Hughson is probably my favorite. But I love Doc when he gets all excited, has a great "SCORES" call. |

Think about it. He's got 0% chance of winning a contract or an NHL job, and that's what most guys are there for. He's NCAA bound 100%, 2021 for the Flyers at the earliest. So what's the point of him shelling out $$$ from his own pocket to attend this camp now? - Tomahawk
I can't believe this is even being discussed. |

The "It won't go" needs to go. I am not sure why I hate it so much. I just do.

It wouldn't be the HB Flyers page if the troll brigade wasn't yelling at clouds! Next up, why didn't we force Ersson into the ECHL for North American experience...we suck and we're stupid as every other team would have. |

This.
They should just pipe in the Canadian national feeds and change the commercials/ads and be done with it. |

So Rangers with the top farm system per Pronman. Reading the description of the players it really sounds like the descriptions of the Flyers, a reminder that the Flyers went through this part of their rebuild. Yes, Rangers getting the 2nd pick in this past draft really helped but just like the Flyers their players have to mature and prove it.
Now the scary part is the Avs having the 2nd best system, with what they have in the NHL already, O BOY... |

No question that prospects have to prove their worth. Just a note on Colorado though, there is no reason to expect them not to be a great team, but they have fooled us a couple times before. Both the Roy coaching debut season and one of the early Duchense years, they were poised to break out after a playoff year only to slip back into mediocrity. I'm always sort of skeptical towards them because of this. On paper they should easily be a 100 pt team.
One thing I feel both out franchises did well was to arm a lot of bullets in the chamber. For the Flyers for example, you could argue that the overall sentiment of the defensive guys is that they haven't lived up to expectations so far. However, you had so many good level prospects, that despite that Provy, Ghost, and Sanheim is quite the foundation to build around. I know just by shear statistics, several of the Rangers prospects won't live up to their billing, but hopefully the quantity aspect masks that. |

Avs ranking is bolstered by Makar still counting (he's all but an NHL player next season) and Pronman being really high on Newhook. The pool behind Byram is not especially deep.
Ranger tho... trading for Fox and tanking in a year where there's actually elite talent at the top really gave them a huge bump. |

Tanking, but also being lucky enough to win a lottery pick. |
