Chiarot is a huge upgrade to Benn. Much better defensively and is more physical. Kulak and Meat will both take steps forward. Full year of Man Mountain. Petey. Juulsen will be back and Brook is a wildcard.

Their defense will be better.

Seth Jones for Marner, straight-up.
Leafs bolster the back end with so many pieces set to be UFAs this off season. Jones stays a couple extra years before needing to be re-upped. Take the extra $3M, and throw it at Gardiner for a one year deal to see if he bites. Enough winger depth within the organization to shuffle players around to fit.

CBJ gets the star up front they need, to play with Dubois. No Duchene/Panarin/Dzingel.. Dubois/Marner would be fun

I'd be cool with whatever it took (within reason) to reach a Marner for Jones/Anderson deal. The Jackets seems like the best fit for a straight up hockey deal.

First, Marner is NOT going to be traded.

If I had to make a deal, it would be Marner for Seth Jones and Josh Anderson.

And before people rip into me about Seth Jones being worth way more, he was traded for Ryan Johansen.

If I had to come up with a backup deal, it would be Marner for Kyle Connor and Adam Lowry. It doesn't really address our need for a dman, but Kyle Connor is a sick hockey player and it does not hurt that he and Auston Matthews are friends..

Or Marner, Liljegren and Andreas Johnsson for Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Barrett Hayton.
