Leafs bolster the back end with so many pieces set to be UFAs this off season. Jones stays a couple extra years before needing to be re-upped. Take the extra $3M, and throw it at Gardiner for a one year deal to see if he bites. Enough winger depth within the organization to shuffle players around to fit.

CBJ gets the star up front they need, to play with Dubois. No Duchene/Panarin/Dzingel.. Dubois/Marner would be fun

Leafs consider this one, but they may not go for it either. This is the one trade however that would really be taken seriously.

Keller will be a star in the maple leafs lineup, but Marner can shoulder the load more himself for Arizona. Arizona needs a little space to make this happen, so Goligoski goes the other way. While his prime days are behind him he would be an Elite 3rd pairing. The first is unprotected and covers the gap between Keller and Marner.
