That was one of the worst trades in NHL history, at least the Leafs have Frederick Andersen, Kasperi Kapanen and were able to finish last and draft Auston Matthews as part of the Kessel trade to Pitt.

I don’t think Toronto wants Marner going anywhere and burning them for years to come. Especially Montreal. So much for the hometown kid. What a terrible deal he’s having hoisted on him. It’s possible the team can’t feed all these ego’s. Never mind afford them.

I think my favourite part about all of them is that not only are the trades really bad, most think they'd get away with adding only a 2nd round pick and not a 1st.

My favourite part is the very old and tired belief that a bigger pile of garbage is somehow worth more than a smaller pile of garbage.

The proposals where someone wants Marner but is not offering up one top player or pick, but instead offers up 5 mediocre pieces are the funniest ones.

This is the most accurate trade proposal on this thread.

Leafs are (frank)ed any way. Sign Marner and they paid too much for a soft winger. Trade him and the Leafs got fleeced trading away a franchise player. Let him sit and Dubas (frank)ed up and blew their chance at a Cup.
