All of you guys talking about Marner trades. There are much more obvious trades to make.
Like Werenski for Proorov.
Or Laine for Domi.

Tor - Voynov, Vilardi, and a 1st
LA - Marner - Bedlam
I’m sure the leafs and we can only hope that the rest of the NHL never let’s Voynov play again over here, let him stay in Russia. |

he has been prolonging this for over 2 months now, there is no way he breaks down now and signs for 3 years 9 million per, you are delusional. - BluesFan44isa_JOKE
Why not? He apparently wants nothing over 5 years.
He will sign 3-5 years soon enough. |

“Marner deserves 11mil and to be the highest paid winger”
So what would you trade for him?
“A bag of practice pucks and a second rounder”

Don't want him. He's small, soft and wants the financial moon. Who couldn't get points with all that TOR offensive firepower. TOR is screwed, best to hope for a top 4 D man but yet again what GM is gonna part with for a overrated 9M man. No thanks, no tanks. |

Edmonton: We'll trade Larsson for Marner.
Toronto: Are you kidding me?
Edmonton: Come on, he has the same value as Taylor Hall. |

Leafs havent proved anything to me yet, except they cant beat Boston - Flybynight88
Either way they are constructed to try and win right now, taking Marner out and not replacing him with similar talent and they are not ready to win now. |

I see this all the time, people assuming that he's benefitting from having good players around him.
Let me tell you after watching hundreds of games with the leafs and knights, he is the one making players around him better. They will not be trading him for adam larsson... |

They filled holes, and 3 of them are UFAs after this year, the time is now to try and win. |

Seriously doubt that Mitch gets traded. A little time-out for a few months will change their way of thinking. But..... if a trade is the only option then one of the first names in a package has to include Josh Anderson for me. I feel he is just scratching the surface. Until then Go Leafs Go! |

Id still trade him Juice. For a 3rd line center and 2nd line winger. Hyman might not be right for a long time, ACLs are tough |

Marner and Alex Kerfoot to Ottawa for Chris Tierney, Erik Brannstrom, a 2022 1st (lottery protected), 2020 2nd (from DAL) and 2021 2nd (from San Jose)
TOR also receives a 2023 2nd round pick (originally from Ottawa) contingent on Marner signing a max extension with the Sens. |
